You felt the weight of it today. I can see it in your eyes and hear it in your voice. Every step you took, every thought you had, it was hard to escape. Breathing became a conscious decision. Each moment of today felt like it moved in slow motion.

BUT.

If we turn up the volume on silence what will it reveal? What if silence speaks of our hurts and lonely spaces? What if silence offers clarity or healing? What if silence speaks of grace and God’s love? What if silence offers exactly what we are lacking? When silence speaks I want to fight back with distractions. My day finally offers me rest but I can’t take it up on the offer. It’s like a friend who offers a sincere compliment only for me to quickly dismiss it.

It's true. And I'm so proud to say that. But it didn't come without it's fair share of lessons and hard things. But you know what? God walked me through to the other side every time. Every high, every low all building toward this version of me.

Join me as I reflect on the past year of my life and the four main lessons that built out my last 365 days:

- Listen to your gut - You need people - God wants you to know the things - Surrender the outcome
