They were discovered hung by leather belts in the pool area. The Sherman's weren't just a well-off family, they were one Canada's richest couples. Barry was the owner and founder of Apotex, Canada's largest generic drug maker. Police initially believed this was a murder-suicide but after pushback from the family they changed their tune to a targeted homicide. Between 1978-1992 a serial killer is believed to be responsible for the murders of 6 to 11 women. The case has been dubbed the Redhead Murders due to the similar hair color of the victims.
