Thank you to this week's sponsor BetterHelp.com. This is an interview I conducted with the now former Chief of Bay Village Police, Mark Spaetzel. He spoke to Amy's class the day she was abducted and has been a part of the case since it's beginning. He retired this past summer and we can only hope he returns to help the special investigation. TIPS: 440-871-1234 Help Support the podcast by donating via Venmo with my username @bill-huffman-3. Thank you to the Chief and the Bay PD for allowing me to interview them about this awful tragedy. Let's hope one day we will find out who killed Amy Mihaljevic.

Marilyn Sheppard Part 2, w/ Nic of True Crime Garage Jan 15, 2021
    Show notes

Part 2: In the early morning hours of July 4, 1954, Marilyn Sheppard was bludgeoned to death in her bed. Her husband Sam, a prominent Bay Village doctor, maintained that Marilyn was murdered by a bushy-haired intruder. He stood trial and was convicted for his wife’s murder amidst a media storm. The media frenzy so tainted the case that the United States Supreme Court released him and ordered a retrial in the decision Sheppard v. Maxwell. At the 1966 retrial, Sheppard was acquitted. He died just a few years later. The Sodder Family Christmas Fire Dec 25, 2020
    Show notes

On December 24th, 1945, the Sodder family of Fayetteville, West Virginia, went to bed without knowing the hell they were about to endure. Around 1:30 AM a fire broke out in the 2 story home. The Sodder's had 9 children in the house that Christmas Eve. It became paramount for George & Jennie to save their children. Four of the children were located and the other five were presumed to be caught in the fire. After a number of failed attempts to reach the children the family could only watch the house burn down. What makes this case so mysterious is when the fire marshall and investigators searched the property there was no sign of the missing children. What happened to the five Sodder children remains a mystery to this day. Billionaire's Barry & Honey Sherman? Part 2 w/ Nic Dec 04, 2020
    Show notes

Thank you to Nic from the True Crime Garage podcast for joining me to discuss this wild case. Honey & Barry Sherman were murdered on December 13, 2017. They were discovered hung by leather belts in the pool area. The Sherman's weren't just a well-off family, they were one Canada's richest couples. Barry was the owner and founder of Apotex, Canada's largest generic drug maker. Police initially believed this was a murder-suicide but after pushback from the family they changed their tune to a targeted homicide. If you would to donate to the podcast you can do so via PayPal with my username billhuffman123@yahoo.com or via Venmo @bill-huffman-3.
