Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s thirty-first lesson on Pokémon biology. For class today, we will be discussing Nidoqueen: the Drill Pokémon and final evolved form of Nidoran♀. This bulky lady has very hard needle-like scales, which stand up when excited. So please, think twice before attempting to surprise hug your Nidoqueen. Similar to Nidorina, Nidoqueen is an incredible mother and will defend her children from any foe by blocking their attacks with its thicc body. Should we describe Pokémon as "thicc"? Probably not. Let's not do it again. And as always, there's another pop quiz today, so pay attention and take notes!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s thirtieth lesson on Pokémon biology. In today's lesson, we will be discussing Nidorina: the Poison Pin Pokémon and first evolved form of Nidoran♀. Like her predecessor, Nidorina is a very gentle Pokémon and prefers not to fight when possible. This sweet little thing is also a very caring mother that will chew up food for its babies and spit the paste into their mouths. Yummy... who wants lunch? And please stay tuned as we test your knowledge with another pop quiz!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s twenty-ninth lesson on Pokémon biology. For today's class, we will be discussing Nidoran♀: the Poison Pin Pokémon. Although a small, timid Pokémon, Nidoran♀ has venomous barbs running along its back - capable of causing fatal injuries. These creatures primarily thrive in savannas and plains, so if you decide to have a picnic at one of these Nidoran♀ locations, please check where you sit. We would hate for your future tombstone to read: "death by Nidoran♀ barb to the butt." There's no honor in that death. And be sure to take a few notes on Nidoran♀ because there's a pop quiz!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s twenty-eighth lesson on Pokémon biology. Today, we will be discussing Sandshrew's evolved form Sandslash: the... you guessed it... Mouse Pokémon. This incredibly resilient creature is capable of living in a wide variety of environments, including the icy mountains of Alola. So like Sandshrew, Sandslash also has a steel/ice type Alolan variant. And to help us discuss the Alolan Sandslash, we have a special guest professor: Prof. Lucas Palm from the Alola region! Prof. Palm is an expert on Alolan variants and a former colleague of Prof. Jacob, so his knowledge is very crucial for today's lesson.

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s twenty-seventh lesson on Pokémon biology. In today's lesson, we will be discussing Sandshrew: the Mouse Pokémon. Wait, seriously? Another "Mouse" Pokémon? What even is a "Mouse"? Anyway, despite also being a "Mouse" Pokémon, Sandshrew is nothing like Pikachu or Raichu. Sandshrew is a ground-dwelling creature that loves spending its time burrowing and heating itself near volcanoes. This Pokémon has an Alolan variant, which is a steel/ice type, and it enjoys thriving in snowy mountains and sliding across the ground with "bullet-like speed". Yes, that fast. And as always, there's a pop quiz today. So pay attention and take detailed notes on both variations of Sandshrew!

    026: Raichu Jan 20, 2021
    Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s twenty-sixth lesson on Pokémon biology. For today's class, we will be discussing Raichu: the Mouse Pokémon and the evolved form of Pikachu. As cute and cuddly as it might look, Raichu is much deadlier than its predecessor. Its charges can reach up to a whopping 100,000 volts - capable of bringing down nearly any Pokémon and melting the skin off of humans. How lovely. Raichu can be very aggressive if they store too much electricity, so trainers should keep their distance while it discharges energy to calm down. Due to this Pokémon's unstable and volatile behavior, you will need to take detailed notes and pass today's quiz with a perfect score!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s twenty-fifth lesson on Pokémon biology. Today, we will be discussing everyone's favorite Pokémon, Pikachu: the Mouse Pokémon! This sparky little creature is a favorite among many trainers for its vibrant personality and intelligence. Although as much as you might want to, we would advise NOT pinching a Pikachu's cheeks because that's where they store their electricity! These Pokémon are also very rare, which unfortunately makes them a target for theft, especially for groups like the nefarious Team Rocket. Oh, and that reminds me... everyone, meet our new student: Ryan!

    024: Arbok Jan 06, 2021
    Show notes

Hello there! Happy New Year and Welcome to Professor Jacob’s twenty-fourth lesson on Pokémon biology. In today's class, we will be covering Ekans' evolved form Arbok: the Cobra Pokémon. This slithery specimen is a deadly poison type Pokémon that isn't the best at giving hugs... because it will most likely constrict you to death. So trainers, it's important that you still show affection to your Arbok - just don't hug it unless it's well-trained. Perhaps a berry or a back scratch will suffice. Equipped with venomous fangs, Arbok makes for a dangerous Pokémon on the battlefield. So students, please take detailed notes and learn all you can from Prof. Jacob because these creatures might kill you... and we have another pop quiz!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s twenty-third lesson on Pokémon biology. For today's lesson, we will be discussing Ekans: the Snake Pokémon. If you decide to take a leisurely stroll through a forest, be on the lookout for Ekans because they love to wrap themselves around tree branches. Or wait... is it coiling? Wrapping or coiling? We have a lengthy discussion today on the wrapping and coiling habits of Ekans. So students, please weigh in on the correct terminology. And as always, there's another pop quiz!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s twenty-second lesson on Pokémon biology. In today's class, we will be discussing Spearow's evolution, Fearow: the Beak Pokémon. Fearow is supposedly a very old Pokémon that's been around for... many years. 20 years? 50 years? 8,527 years? 6 million? Who the hell knows. Either way, this resilient bird has managed to survive throughout history with the help of its massive beak - built for catching various water and bug Pokémon. Stick around after today's pop quiz and have a glass of Miltank eggnog with the class as we have our annual Christmas party!
