Evolving role of ctDNA in breast cancer Oct 26, 2022
    Show notes

With the advent of next-generation sequencing technologies, circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) has now become an important player in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of breast cancer. In early breast cancer, the clearance of ctDNA is associated with improved pathological complete response following neoadjuvant therapy and may be important in treatment selection in patients with advanced disease. Continued efforts will likely lead to improvements in the use of liquid biopsy approaches and widespread routine clinical practice.

In this podcast, we will hear from Oleg Gluz, MD, Evang. Krankenhaus “”Bethesda”” Klinik, Mönchengladbach, Germany, Marla Lipsyc-Sharf, MD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, and Michail Ignatiadis, MD, PhD, Institut Jules Bordet who explore the use of ctDNA in breast cancer.
