    I’m Lance Essihos, and I sit down with athletes, bestselling authors, doctors, entrepreneurs, spiritual teachers, and everyday warriors to have real conversations about adversity — the kind that strips away the surface and forces us to face who we really are.

    With so many fad diets and Instagram models taking over the fitness industry, it’s hard to keep up with what our nutrition should really consist of. In today’s episode, we meet the founder of Dad Bod Health, Jason Priest. Jason has quite the background of being a registered nurse, a personal trainer, and a fitness nutrition expert. Jason experienced an early great personal loss to him which contributed to unhealthy eating and being 60 lbs overweight. Jason states he is now in the best shape of his life as his ultimate goal is to be the best father to his son. Jason prioritizes his health as an ethical and responsible duty to his child to watch them grow up. Jason currently runs his website, Dad Bod Health which helps to coach men on real nutrition and fitness.

    Mental health is always a sensitive subject in today's society, something our guest understands too well. Joining us in this episode, we have the captivating mental health speaker, animal lover and certified mental health aid, David Bartley. When his attempt to end his life was stopped by a passing stranger, David was able to find the strength within himself to navigate his isolation and find himself in a more inclusive headspace. David shares his battle with depression for more than 40 years while sharing his views on how we handle mental health in this day in age. Giving over 200 presentations across the country, David is also a member of many alliances that help youth and adults worldwide with mental health.

    In this episode, Shawn briefly talked about his 7-year career as a Pro Athlete NFL Offensive Lineman, and the journey of obstacles he faced in achieving this life goal. His childhood was marked with poverty, coupled with several health conditions such as stuttering, and battling drugs & alcohol addictions. Through the power of Manifestation, Shawn continued to expand his experiences as an inspiring motivational speaker and Author.
