The Cleveland Browns EMBARRASS the Cincinnati Bengals in a DOMINANT Week 1 WIN | Ja'Marr Chase Who?? Sep 11, 2023

Show notes

"Cleveland is just Cleveland."

"I almost called them the elves."

We can guarantee you Ja'Marr Chase is regretting those comments after Sunday's absolute butt-whooping.

The Cleveland Browns dominated the Cincinnati Bengals 24-3 to secure a Week 1 victory.

Myles Garrett, Za'Darius Smith, Ogbo Okoronkwo, Martin Emerson, Denzel Ward, Greg Newsome II and Grant Delpit all played top-notch games, holding Joe Burrow to fewer than 100 passing yards in a game for the first time since high school.

Offensively, Nick Chubb led the way for the Browns with 100+ yards on the ground.

Weather played a role in the game for both sides, but Deshaun Watson handled it better than Burrow did. Watson was far from perfect, but he did enough to lead the Browns to two TD drives.

Starting right tackle Jack Conklin suffered what is feared to be a season ending injury, meaning rookie Dawand Jones could be thrust into action way sooner than expected. Is Jones ready to hold down the fort opposite of Jed Wills?

Also, can Kevin Stefanski coach 17 games against the Bengals each season? Stefanski seems to be at his best against Cincinnati, but not at the same level against the rest of the league. Why?

Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals picks & preview: Who wins the Week 1 AFC North battle? Sep 08, 2023

Show notes

"Cleveland is just Cleveland."

"I almost called them the elves."

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase went scorched earth levels of disrespect on Friday when talking about the Cleveland Browns, a team he hasn't had much success against during his professional career.

Will Deshaun Watson, Myles Garrett & company make him eat his words on Sunday? The UCSS crew is ready to give their picks and predictions, as well as X-Factors for the game that will determine a winner.

Joe Burrow signed the largest contract extension in NFL history Thursday night, worth up to $275M over 5-years. $219.01M is guaranteed. Will the national media cover that deal the same way it covered Deshaun Watson's fully guaranteed contract with the Browns?

Plus, it's time for our 2023 Browns Superlative Awards -- a fun way to continue our preview of the Browns 2023 season.

Mary Kay Cabot and Tim Couch (hopefully, he was sick on Thursday and gave us a TBD for today) join the program as well.

Nick Chubb or Ja'Marr Chase: Which star will have the bigger Wk1 impact + other Browns/Bengals picks Sep 07, 2023

Show notes

Deshaun Watson has a chance to catapult himself back into the conversation with Patrick Mahomes & Joe Burrow as one of the top quarterbacks in the entire NFL.

But in order to do that, the Cleveland Browns QB needs to dominate 2023. At his Wednesday presser, Watson said he doesn't want to be the 2020 version of himself anymore. He wants to be even better.

Is that possible? If so, what does it even look like & can he be the top signal caller in the league?

ESPN Bengals reporter Ben Baby joins the show at 11:30 to breakdown the Cincinnati side of things before the team's Week 1 matchup with the Browns.

Then, the UCSS squad breaks out "No Fence Riders" for the first time this NFL season to give definitive predictions for Sunday's game.

The guys also give their Super Bowl & playoff picks for the 2023 NFL season, including some award winners in there too.

Five things Cleveland Browns fans should be ready to see during the 2023 season Sep 06, 2023

Show notes

Week 1 is FINALLY here and that means Cleveland Browns fans will FINALLY get a chance to see what Kevin Stefanski has in store for Deshaun Watson in his new offense.

Will DW4 be unleashed against the Bengals in the season opener? Or will Cincinnati get a heavy dose of Nick Chubb? Or maybe... both?

Which unit has the advantage in the trenches in this AFC North clash? Both teams feel good about their big guys up front, which could play a major role in determining the outcome.

The Browns released their first depth chart for Week 1 and as of now, Jordan Elliott is listed as a starter over Shelby Harris. Will that stick until Sunday?

Leroy Hoard also joins the show at 11:30 to give his picks for the Browns/Bengals clash. Oh boy have we missed Leroy.

And lastly, Terry Francona appears to have waived the white flag on his managerial career, as he hinted at the fact this will be his final season with the Cleveland Guardians. How should the team handle his final few weeks at the helm, assuming he is planning on stepping away for good?

The Cleveland Browns defense plans to make Joe Burrow's life MISERABLE this week | Aditi Kinkhabwala Sep 05, 2023

Show notes

The wait is over... it's FINALLY game week in Cleveland.

Jim Schwartz is putting the final prep on his game plan, as the Cleveland Browns attempt to shut down Joe Burrow and start 2023 off with a win.

The Browns may have to stop Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins & company without their top DB in Denzel Ward, who is still in concussion protocol from a hit he sustained in the preseason finale against Kansas City. There's no word yet if Ward will suit up on Sunday or not.

Myles Garrett & the Browns defensive line should, at least on paper, be able to wreck havoc on Burrow this Sunday. Will Schwartz unleash the dogs and make Burrow's day in the pocket hell, or is Burrow evasive enough to find ways to make plays around the pressure?

Kevin Stefanski is next up in our 32 in 32 series.

Aditi Kinkhabwala joins the show at noon to preview Sunday's AFC North game, including her pick to win it all.

Plus, Ted Ginn Jr. makes his UCSS debut in-studio to recap Ohio State's ugly win over Indiana, preview the upcoming NFL season and look back at some of his favorite memories from his playing career.
