TCG Presents: S&U//The Complex Story of Pervis Payne May 12, 2021

Show notes

***WARNING*** THIS EPISODE INVOLVES VIOLENCE TOWARDS CHILDREN, LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.

Pervis Payne is a 53-year-old black man, with an intellectual disability, sitting on death row in Shelby Tennessee, for the 1987 murder of a mother and her 2 children. His execution has been stayed many times, and he is now attempting to present to the court proof of his mental handicap, but on April 9, 2021, a new date will be set, for him to be put to death.

Many people have come to Payne's aid claiming...

1) There is evidence to prove his innocence,

2)It's unconstitutional to give a death sentence to someone with an intellectual disability, and

3) That DNA of an unknown male was found but never tested.

Is Pervis Payne a vicious murderer who deserves to be put to death? Or was he a bystander wrongfully accused and now paying the price, for someone else's actions?

#133 Mama's Lil' Serial Killer, Todd Kohlhepp Apr 21, 2021

Show notes

“At less than the age of 9, this juvenile was impulsive, explosive, and preoccupied with sexual content. He has not changed. He has been unabatedly aggressive to others and destructive of property since nursery school,” the judge’s ruling said. “He destroys his own clothing, personal possessions and pets apparently on whim and caprice. Approximately six years of intervention in fifteen years of life have resulted in abysmal failure. Twenty-five months of the most intensive and expensive professional intervention, short of God’s, will provide no protection for the public and no rehabilitation of this juvenile by any services or facilities presently available to the Juvenile Court.” -Maricopa County Judge C. Kimball Rose on Todd Kohlhepp

Exposing government funded control and corruption..
