Helen Hagnes Mintiks had it all - a wonderful husband, a fabulous life in New York City, and her dream job as a professional violinist performing at the world famous Metropolitan Opera House. On July 23, 1980, Helen was playing in the orchestra for the visiting Berlin Ballet, but after a break in the performance, Helen never returned to finish the show. Her prized possession - her violin - sat in her empty seat, while others in the orchestra wondered where she could be. When she failed to turn up by the end of the performance, no one could understand how a someone could just vanish in the middle of a performance at the Met.

The Brown's Chicken Massacre Part 2 Nov 02, 2023

On the night of January 8, 1993, two armed assailants entered a Brown's Chicken restaurant in Palatine, Illinois, just before closing time and proceeded to brutally murder seven employees, all for less than $2000.Years would go by before police would get their big break. In those interim years, the BGA would release their scathing report on the investigation, the ISCC would form their panel to refute the BGA, the victim’s families would file lawsuits against Brown’s Chicken. Everyone wanted someone to blame for this crime, but the killers remained elusive. That is, until 2002, when a phone call between old high school friends would change everything.

The Murder of Linda Rambo Oct 12, 2023

It was August 16, 2002 when a shocking 911 call came in to police in Pohatcong, New Jersey. It was a local dentist named Roy Rambo who was calling to tell them he had just shot his wife, Linda Ann Rambo. Roy insisted he had shot his wife in self defense, but the more investigators looked into his story, the more certain they became that he was lying.

Shrien and Anni Dewani had only been married for 3 weeks when they arrived in Cape Town, South Africa for their honeymoon, and they'd only been in Cape Town for a day when tragedy struck. While out sightseeing one night, their taxi was hijacked by two men. The driver and Shrien were kicked out of the car, and later the car was found with Anni's body inside. It was utterly devastating for everyone that had ever known and loved Anni, but no one could guess where this investigation would take them.

The Burari Deaths Aug 31, 2023

On July 1, 2018, eleven members of the same family were found dead in their house in the Burari neighborhood of Delhi, India, sparking widespread shock and speculation. Most of the victims' bodies were discovered hanging from colorful scarfs around their necks tied to an iron grill on the ceiling. The bodies were arranged in a circular formation, all spaced evenly apart.

Investigators didn't know what to make of this scene. Was this murder? Was this a mass suicide? Both options seemed equally unlikely to all who knew and loved the Bhatia family. As investigations continued, authorities began to explore multiple angles, including possible psychological factors, family dynamics, and external influences that might have led to this tragic event.

The Burari deaths serve as a reminder of the complexity of human behavior and the challenges in understanding the underlying causes of such incidents. The incident prompted discussions about mental health awareness and the need for support systems for families dealing with stress and emotional turmoil.
