The Murder of Laci Peterson Part 1 Nov 12, 2020

Show notes

Mogab has been living under a rock and she knows it, okay! So Kristin tells her about the murder of Laci Peterson, who disappeared Christmas Eve 2002 when she was 8 months pregnant. Everyone seems convinced that her husband, Scott, murdered her, especially when it’s revealed that Scott had been having an affair with Amber Frey, and the media would go on to convict him night after night in the court of public opinion. However, the evidence against Scott is far from overwhelming. In part 1, Mogab and Kristin debate the guilt of Scott as Kristin takes Mogab through the events of the case, from the day Laci went missing to the day Scott is arrested for her murder.

She then tells the story of the most insane, sadistic game of musical chairs that has ever been played (by FULL GROWN ADULTS).

Scientology part 1: Fair Game Nov 05, 2020

Show notes

Mogab knows 0.0 about Scientology, so Kristin explains how this billion dollar business (slash cult) uses tax exempt money to harass people and ruin their lives. This is all done with directives from a written policy called Fair Game. These are their stories. Dun. Dun.

Kristin tells Mogab the story of Paulette Cooper, a journalist who wrote an expose on Scientology and was then harassed for the next several DECADES, including a frame job for sending bomb threats that nearly sent her to prison.

Then, Kristin tells Mogab how Scientology used Fair Game against the IRS to get tax exempt status.

This Is part 1 of our Scientology series. Part 2 Is available now!

The Unbelievable Story of Rape Oct 28, 2020

Show notes

This week, Kristin tells Mogab about An Unbelievable Story of Rape. This story involves 2 investigations into the same serial rapist. One investigation could have not have gone worse, with the rape victim charged and fined for making a false report. The other shows what happens when an investigation is done right. Kristin and Mogab discuss the truth about false reports of rape, and what a normal response to trauma looks like (spoiler: there is no normal response).

The Questionable Case of Richard Glossip Oct 27, 2020

Show notes

Welcome to the first episode of True Crime Creepers! In this episode, Kristin tells Mogab the story of Richard Glossip, who Is on death row In Oklahoma for hiring Justin Sneed to kill his boss, Barry Van Treese. His conviction Is based almost solely on Sneed's word, with no good evidence connecting him to this crime. How did the word of an accomplice carry enough weight to secure a conviction?

Just a warning that Mogab's audio quality is not tip top because she accidentally recorded through airpods Instead of the nice mic she has. Whoops. This has been rectified in all other episodes.
