    Tim Conway Jr. on Demand

Tim Conway Jr. can be heard live Monday–Friday from 6pm–10pm on KFI AM 640 and everywhere on the iHeartRadio App.

Follow the show on socials @ConwayShow.

Tim Conway Jr. brings his signature humor to breaking news, Los Angeles current events, Orange County stories, Riverside County headlines, the Inland Empire, live police chases, freeway traffic, Hollywood craziness, pop culture, the big sports stories of the day, politics, gambling, and everything happening across Southern California. With his finger on the pulse of what’s happening in SoCal and beyond, Conway delivers funny, fast-moving talk radio every weeknight on KFI AM 640.

Heard by listeners across the country and around the world on the iHeartRadio App, Conway’s humor, storytelling, and take on the current news of the day connect with audiences far beyond Southern California. His perspective is local, but his comedy, curiosity, and down-to-earth view of life translate across cultures, communities, and languages.

Tim Conway Jr. was born and raised in Los Angeles and is the son of iconic comedy legend Tim Conway of The Carol Burnett Show. He spent his childhood around Santa Anita, Hollywood Park, and Del Mar Racetracks with his father, four younger brothers, and older sister — experiences that helped shape his humor, storytelling, and down-to-earth perspective on life.

During his early career, Conway produced his own internet radio show and, thanks to its popularity, was offered the opportunity to host a talk show on 97.1 KLSX-FM. Over twelve successful years, his show became famous across Southern California for entertaining topics, live police chases, Hollywood craziness, pop culture, sports, and current events with a twist of humor. In 2009, when KLSX switched to an all-music format, Conway joined KFI AM 640, continuing to bring listeners his unique comedic perspective on breaking news, politics, gambling, history, sports, entertainment, and life in SoCal.

Throughout his career, Conway has been featured on Fox 11, CBS, NBC, and ABC, and has received numerous industry honors including a Golden Mic Award, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and a Marconi Award nomination for Personality of the Year. When he’s not entertaining listeners, Conway enjoys spending time with his family, supporting local charities, and hanging out at the racetracks.

Esposa Means Wife. Esposas Means Handcuffs Aug 29, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 2 (8.28) Neil Saavedra spent a good chunk of this hour convinced Conway was talking about Bill Handel. Conway was talking about a bald eagle. It got worse from there.

7:05 — The Fork Reporter walks in mid-conversation, hears "Shadow," and assumes Handel. Then a Spanish lesson: esposa is wife, esposas is handcuffs, and Saavedra insists that's a coincidence. Plus a look ahead at Daisy Chain Fields — 45,000 people at Great Park Saturday with highs near 93.

7:20 — The drive-thru, fully diagnosed. Why the menu board breaks otherwise functional adults, what the eleven cars behind you are experiencing, and the specific person who begins reading the menu at the window. Related: nobody reads the instructions on anything anymore, drones included.

7:35 — Crazy Taxi, GTA, Forza, and the era when KFI had video games in the building. Then Handel's birthday party, where Saavedra turned up as Bane from The Dark Knight Rises. Somehow this becomes religion, stereotypes, and The Da Vinci Code.

7:50 — Conway on the pleasures of retail, specifically the frozen aisle. Saavedra's position: the freezer game has leveled up considerably and people haven't noticed.

Gas Pump Scam: You're Paying for Their Gas Aug 29, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 3 (8.28) A postcard mailed 26 years ago finally landed. Plus the gas pump nozzle still running on your dime, and the four-bedroom house near Taft High that wants to become 71 units.

8:05 — The pump scam worth knowing before your next fill-up: the nozzle can still be live from the last customer, so you swipe and buy their gas. Then the postcard that took 26 years to arrive, mailed during a vacation by parents who are gone now. Conway says he got a sign from his dad last night.

8:20 — Pumpkin spice fatigue has arrived and matcha is taking the season. Starbucks says there are more than 170,000 ways to customize a drink; outside estimates put the total combinations somewhere around 300 billion. What's your order, and more importantly, what name do you give them? Folgers remains the best part of waking up.

8:35 — Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields hits Great Park Saturday with Stevie Nicks as a special guest — Crozier caught her at SoFi. Then Woodland Hills, where Akhilesh and Janet Jah want to turn a four-bedroom, three-bath house on Del Moreno Drive, across from Taft High School, into a 71-unit senior living facility with a cafeteria and medical office. Eight low-income units, no parking, inside an LAFD fire zone. Planning commissioners approved most of the variances and said state housing law ties their hands. Neighbors say they'll fight it the whole way. Which leads to a bigger question about why everyone seems to be throwing down lately.

8:50 — Staying in the Valley: residents fed up with a sidewalk leak that will not stop running.

Shadow and Kaydee: Is It Over Already? Aug 29, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 4 (8.28) Friends of Big Bear Valley says Shadow has been getting testy with Kaydee and may not be interested at all. Plus, Jake Reiner on the call from his sister that he let ring.

9:05 — Shadow 12. Kaydee is 4½, banded, hatched in the Prado Basin. They've shared the nest since Jackie died Aug. 10 at 14, and fans had them halfway to a pair — but FOBBV now says Shadow has been getting testy and may not be ready for Kaydee's advances. Nesting season doesn't start until October, so nobody actually knows.

9:20 — 45,000 people at Great Park in Irvine Saturday, highs near 93, worst of it from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The map shows five hydration stations, five cooling stations, two shaded areas and two medical tents. A festival employee says they raised it with promoters on a Zoom this week as not enough. Olivia Rodrigo founded Daisy Chain Fields, every artist plays for free, lineup is all women — Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Garbage, The Breeders, with Stevie Nicks and Sarah McLachlan.

9:35 — Jake Reiner, 34, sits down with ABC7's Marc Cota-Robles for the first time since his parents Rob and Michele Reiner were found stabbed to death in Brentwood on Dec. 14. He was at a celebration of life at Union Station when his sister Romy called. His brother Nick is indicted on two counts of first-degree murder with a lying-in-wait allegation and has pleaded not guilty.

How Often Should You Wash Your Sheets? Aug 27, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 1 (8.27) Dermatologists say weekly. The average American changes their sheets every 24 days. Tim's number came up on the air, and the conversation did not stay on sheets for long.

Chargers vs. Rams coverage preempted the live show, so this is a Best Of.

6:05— Tim on the little things: the small stuff that carries more joy than the big stuff, and why most people blow right past it.

6:20- The retro restaurant craze. Nearly half of U.S. adults say they're likelier to buy something that makes them feel nostalgic, and chains have noticed. Starbucks brought back the Unicorn Frappuccino to record North American sales, Burger King's crown-shaped nuggets returned after 15 years gone, and McDonald's revived the fried apple pie it phased out in the '90s. The nostalgia cycle used to run 20 to 30 years. It's now about 10.

6:35 — Which sports lean left and which lean right. A Harris/Sportico poll of 4,116 adults found college football the most partisan fanbase in the country at 58% conservative, the PGA Tour at 56%, and the WNBA a dead-even 50-50 split. Perception and reality don't match: 63% of Americans assumed women's college basketball skewed liberal, while 55% of its actual fans identified as conservative.

6:50- The protocol for washing sheets, what dermatologists actually recommend, and how that turned into a full audit of Tim's personal hygiene.

7:35- Bill Handel's accident while cooking, plus the spill on the board that nobody has lived down.

7:50- Neil on his bar-fight era, and the night gang members walked up on him while he was live on the air.

The 2026 NFL slate is spread across more than ten platforms — Netflix, Peacock, Prime Video, ESPN, Paramount+, NFL+, YouTube TV — and watching everything runs past $1,000 for the season. The average NFL ticket ran about $312 last season — roughly $515 for the Eagles, $123 for the Jets — and the total cost of attending a game climbed 72% over the past decade, nearly double the national inflation rate. Six in ten fans say they've skipped a game because it cost too much.

9:20 — Why road trips got better once podcasts existed. Then the other side of it: 32.5% of adults 18 to 34 now live with their parents, close to 39% in California, and the average age of moving out has climbed from about 23 in the '90s to roughly 26.
