    24. The Legacy of Fatherhood with Blake Brewer Jun 16, 2021
    Show notes

Today's episode hits home for us, with Father's day coming up we wanted to do an episode specifically for all the dads out there. Over the past few years, we both learned firsthand that being a dad is one of the toughest challenges, and most of the time it's hard to make sure we're doing the right thing. However, to say raising kids is all bad would be wildly inaccurate.

The truth is, we will never truly understand exactly how important and impactful it is for us to parent our children. The choices our kids make, the careers they choose, what they dream about at night, the friends they make and everything in between is dictated by what we do and say as Dads.

You may read that and your chest starts to get tight and you think...what if I mess them up?

The pressure can start to set in quickly, right? We totally understand. That is why today we want to reframe or maybe rewire your thoughts around parenting and being a Father.

Welcome back to The Unlimited Potential Show, our guest today is Blake Brewer, CEO and founder of The Legacy Letter Challenge. He is a father on a mission to help 1 million dads be more successful with their kids by writing Legacy Letters. You'll hear how The Legacy Letter challenge got started, and how the worst day of Blake's life created a passion for helping dad's connect and inspire their children.

Listen in as Blake talks about his own dad and the impact he made in Blake's life by writing a letter filled with love, advice, and encouragement that would bring comfort in the most painful time of life. You will learn about the true importance of Fatherhood, the one thing your kid may need to hear from you and more. By the end you will know how you can write your own legacy letter, and leave a lasting impression on your kids that will have them feeling loved and understood even after you're long gone.

Disclaimer: Everyone in the family is welcome in this episode! You don't have to be a Dad to be impacted by Blakes story. The last thing we will say is this episode gets emotional at times as Blake shares the story of when his dad passed. If you have recently lost a loved one and this hits a little too close to home, we encourage you to dive into our past episodes and come back to this one when you are ready.

    23. Everyday Ways You Can Start To Grow In True Confidence and Courage Jun 09, 2021
    Show notes

"Fear is a reaction. Courage is a decision." - Winston Churchill

In today's episode of the Unlimited Potential Show we dive into the topic of courage and confidence, and how you can use these two virtues to create a mindset that will never stop chasing your dreams. Some of the world's most courageous leaders have felt fear before, the difference is they've embraced the feeling of uncertainty and vulnerability and used their own personal ambitions for success to guide their paths towards their goals. We dig into the mindsets of powerful leaders like Tom Brady, Conor McGregor, and Brene Brown to see what exactly holds us back and how we can overcome it.

Listen in as we talk about the importance of vulnerability, how fear can't stop you, the difference between a good success and a great success, and how going after your natural passions will accelerate your growth. We discuss the aspect of shame and how it can distract us from what we truly want, how to combat this shame and understanding that even if nothing is perfect it's still progress.

This episode is full of encouragement to embrace your vulnerabilities and tips to grow your confidence naturally. When we start changing our mindsets about the hurdles we have in our lives, we start making life changing decisions and we believe these two things are the keys to unlocking your unlimited potential!

    21. Grit: Because Your Goals Will Take More Than Talent May 26, 2021
    Show notes

When we look at top athletes, musicians, and geniuses we tend to think that they got where they are because of talent and maybe a little determination. But did you know that talent has nothing to do with how far you'll go in life?

Today on The Unlimited Potential Show we dive into Grit: The Power Of Passion And Perseverance by Angela Duckworth. We talk about how you don't need talent to achieve your goals in life and even how being talented in an area might actually harm you. Anybody has the power and ability to become who they are with one simple principle.

We discuss some of the top athletes from Michael Jordan to Michael Phelps and just what it took for them to become household names and even history makers in their industries. There is something across the board you can find within professional athletes, musicians, or scholars and that is how it all came from within themselves. They were able to dig deep and find the true grit of persevering despite all odds to take the top spot and become the best that they could possibly be.

The good news? You have that exact same ability within you.

So join us as we talk about what we believe are the two principles for success, how you can increase your own grit, deciding what you want to go for with unlimited potential and even some tips to increase your physical and mental self in everyday life. Your unlimited potential is right in front of you, if you will only be willing to face the hard stuff and push through.
