American Idol had an audience of 38 million a generation ago for its season 2 finale. On Sunday night, it got under 6 million for the last show of the 2023 season. Why is it still on? And why do TV sports broadcasts continue to glorify people we know are jerks? (We name names.) Also Rhea gives us tips for British TV and teens, and Angelo has some great news about two shows that you will love (he hopes.) . Also, don't forget to watch the final episode of Succession on Sunday night. Jay Black will be back next week to obsess over it.

With Jay Black off on a cruise to Iceland, Rhea and Angelo delve into the problems with network programming in a world where Abbott Elementary and Accused are rare good shows in a vast wasteland.
Plus: Rhea has a great find on British TV, and a network show (recently cancelled) that is worth seeing for kids.
Angelo has his highest recommendation for a TV show in the 36 episodes of the podcast so far, an extraordinary documentary.
And stay till after the sign-off, because we didn't know how to shut off the recording, so you will get a bonus recommendation.
Special thanks to Gail Cataldi, who was engineer for the show.

PLUS, the gang discusses all the drama going on with Love is Blind -- not only did Netflix's second attempt at a livestream fail utterly, but there is word from behind the scenes that the cast is being sleep deprived and being coerced into making dumb decisions (the dumbest of which is simply being on the show!)
