Good people,
On today’s episode, I want to reflect on the idea of giving gifts—but I’m going to flip it around a little bit. Today, I have a request: give yourself a gift. In your daily interactions, give yourself a gift based on what you want from someone else.
The truth is, we’ve got to start with ourselves first. We can’t always rely on others to fulfill our needs and desires, but we can rely on ourselves. Ask yourself, “How do I interface with myself?” Are you patient and compassionate? If you’re not, then today’s a good day to start.
Happy holidays to everyone in 2019. I’ll see you in the next one.

Good People,
Today I had the pleasure of talking with Dr. Nick Molinaro. He’s worked as a psychologist for 30+ years, with a specialty in sports psychology and executive assessment and performance. He’s worked with athletes from the NFL, NBA, and he’s most known for his work with the PGA. We had a great conversation all about finding ways to unlock your true potential, mental skills training, and the erroneous beliefs around what role confidence plays in performance. Essentially, Dr. Nick says that focusing on boosting someone’s confidence is an ineffective way to actually increase performance. Focusing on grit and self-advocacy are much more effective.
We also talked quite a bit about his own personal experiences around performance and what led him to realize a method that allowed him to live up to his potential. He breaks down the basic processes that influence most of what we do, what we believe, what we feel, and how to use that understanding to set effective goals and develop grit.
We cover a lot in this short and sweet conversation. So sit back, relax, and take a listen. I’ll see you soon.

Good People,
Today I had the pleasure of talking to Libby Moore. Libby is best known for her role as the Chief of Staff to Oprah Winfrey for over 10 years. We had a great conversation and went deep on several different topics, including how your perception of money and the limiting beliefs you hold around money can become your reality—if you let it. When you focus on providing value to other people, and you focus on the process, money will often flow much more freely.
We also talked a lot about her personal experiences around self-acceptance. Essentially, she told the story of how difficult it was for her to come out as lesbian, but how essential it was to live authentically. She learned that you can’t live anybody else’s life; you can only live your own.
We definitely covered a lot in this conversation. So sit back, relax, and take a listen. I’ll see you soon.

Good People,
On today’s episode, I have the pleasure of talking to Robyn Spizman, whose an author of 75 books. She’s also a radio and tv personality. Her latest book, Loving Out Loud is in stores now. In today’s discussion we talk about a range of things. Her personal truth is that loving out loud is something that can be taught. She also speaks to the healing power of words. For her professional truth, she talks about how she learned not to have a knee-jerk reaction to everything and give more in her reactions to things.
We talk about her book, what’s it all about, and what's it like to be an author. We discuss tools to help people who may be afraid to speak out. And we also talk about parenting and the three most important components of a successful parent.
We cover a lot in today’s episode. So sit back, relax, and take a listen. I’ll see you soon.

Good People,
On today’s episode, I talk with Dr. Wayne Pernell. He’s a leadership coach, author, clinical psychologist, magician, and blackbelt. Throughout our conversation, Wayne brings up a topic that many of us have struggled with throughout our lives: doing what others want or expect of us, rather than what we want to do with our own lives. He shares with us a great story about his journey to realizing this personal truth.
Dr. Wayne Pernell struggles with people-pleasing tendencies in his professional life, too. The professional truth that he shares is that he realized he needed to develop a skill of being a great leader without needing to be liked. This is an incredibly important nuance. As a leader, you want to be able to inspire people to follow your direction, but you don’t want to become a dictator. So, finding that subtle nuance is essential.
We also jump into some questions, like how to use love and passion in our work, what makes him stand out as a leadership coach, and how exercise regimes transfer into success in business and life.
Sit back, relax, and take a listen. I’ll see you soon.
