    #228 Leadership Lessons - When You're Losing Everything Hurts Aug 19, 2020
    Show notes

What do you learn when you fail? Often we are not prepared to take to our own shortcomings, our mistakes, and our errors. Often we rewrite our own motivations with statements like
    - Sometimes you win sometimes you lose
    - Hope to win, expect to lose and live with the results
But let's face it - some of our losses cause huge amounts of pain. And often we may be tempted to not feel that way again - so we don't try as hard as we could. Our overriding thoughts become one of not to lose, and to make sure we don't have that pain, we choose to not to place efforts into the win.

    Show notes

Clint Padgett shared so many insights on #226 of the Todays Leader Podcast, How to make team and projects triumph.
    Listen in here https://coachcurl.com/226-clint-padgett-how-to-make-teams-and-projects-triumph/
One of the key things he shared that every leader should heed was a very simple rule.
Your name can not be assigned to a task unless you will be accountable for it.
That's just another piece of common sense, Tony. Isn't it?

#226 Clint Padgett - How to Make Teams and Projects Triumph Aug 13, 2020
    Show notes

In this episode, we welcome Clint Padgett to the podcast. Clint is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience as a project manager and leader. He is a published author, teacher, and expert in team building and the art of conversation.
Clint has been helping leaders and their teams implement repeatable, sustainable strategies to deliver high-stakes projects on time, on target. Clint’s vast level of experience positioned him to reshape the landscape of project management to better reflect today’s new business models. With the modern organization becoming more fast, agile, and highly reactive, it’s imperative that companies use a method that’s proven to actually work in the real world – not with tools that are just new and trendy at the moment. And that’s exactly what Clint brings to the table – a collaborative, actionable approach that leads to team commitment and buy-in even in a matrix organization. He delivers the knowledge and motivation that, when applied to strategic initiatives, transform businesses, and create a competitive advantage.

#225 Leadership Lessons The Size of Your Comfort Zone Determines Your Risk Aug 12, 2020
    Show notes

We often hear about risk. About taking a strategic outlook on risk. we hear about the concept of risk and reward. We can't succeed unless we are willing to risk. Some will tell you you have to be prepared to risk everything many others talk about calculated risks.
And depending on the circumstances, these techniques are relevant and valid.
But what often doesn't get spoken about as much is the impact our own comfort zone plays when we are sizing up risk. Our comfort zone determines our appetite for risk. If we are too focused on maintaining our status quo, the warmness that surrounds us in times of routine and certainty.
