Empathy is the skill of understanding and recognizing others' feelings and perspectives. As a leader, that skill is obviously important. You cannot effectively lead someone you don't understand.
It's more than a skill. The better we are the greater our effectiveness. Empathy is the ability to understand another person’s experience, perspective, and feelings.
