    • You can’t sell the solution if you don’t know what the need/problem is
    • Keep the prospect talking as much as possible
    • People hate silence on the phone, if you leave silence, people will start to reveal more and more about themselves
    • Choose which “frame” you want to use to show why someone should buy from you
    • Salespeople have to have incredible amount of positiveness in their attitude
    • Enthusiasm will go a long ways in sales
    • Even genius people are not super logical. You have to appeal to emotions

“You have to be able to see possibilities before you pursue possibilities” - Tai Lopez

    (click to tweet)

Your potential will be what you decide it is. The reality is that what holds most people back is their own mindset. If you think you have unlimited potential, within your circle of competence, you really do have unlimited potential within that circle.

The circle of competence refers the range of things that you are really competent in. For instance, if you are not at all naturally athletic, you do not have unlimited potential in athletic pursuits. But provided you have a certain level of competence within a pursuit or skill, your potential is probably only being limited by what you mindset is.

So increase the range of your mindset, and what you believe is possible for you to achieve. As you do that, you will see your results begin to increase in kind.

    • Your mental frameworks of thought will define what is really possible for you

The Biography Test, How to Network, & How to Make Decisions Dec 01, 2019
    Show notes

“Why does life have to be about going from one pleasant experience to another?” - Tai Lopez

    (click to tweet)

This week was all about learning how to live the best life you possibly can, on your own terms. This means thinking through very carefully what that specifically means for you, what is most important to you, and what you would like written on your tombstone, and then optimizing your entire life around that end-goal.

We also talk about the science of making decisions, why the modern world’s endless possibilities actually paralyzes our decision-making ability, why and how to cross-pollinate in business networking, and much, much more, on this episode of the Tai Lopez Show.

    Points to Keep In Mind

    • Write the outline of your autobiography up until now and be honest: Would anyone want to read it? If not, you might need to make some changes
    • Use the above biography test regularly to evaluate your decisions
    • The modern lifestyle gives us so much convenience that it’s almost like the life is sucked out of it
    • Know where to go to business network: Go to somewhat unexpected places for who you are and what you do
    • Try to cross-pollinate with other business in networking and learning
    • Go to places and categories where the smartest people are
    • To grow any physical business, make sure you get out to meet people in different categories
    • Organisms that only learn through trial and error tend to die out

“Spend at least a couple hours per day really thinking through what you’re doing in your life” - Tai Lopez

    (click to tweet)

Unintended consequences often negate the good that a regulation or ruling in government is trying to do. In fact, often the problem that was supposed to be solved is simply magnified through the unintended consequences, and the same thing can be true for your life.

That is why I believe that entrepreneurs, and really everyone else as well, need to learn game theory, to understand the various ways in which their decisions will affect other people’s decisions, thereby potentially changing the outcome, and sometimes reversing the good you were trying to do with the decision in the first place.

Listen to this episode to learn more about game theory and how it can apply to the decisions you make.

“In the modern world, you need to be careful not to be overstimulated” - Tai Lopez

    (click to tweet)

    Points to Keep In Mind

    • A lot of regulations have unintended side effects that must be considered
    • For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction
    • Humans have a desire to simplify complex topic to understand them, with the result often being that the wrong conclusion is reached
    • Mother nature always laughs last
    • Entrepreneurs need to understand game theory
    • Always consider how your actions will be perceived by others, not just the immediate impact
    • The current education system encourages students to pump information into their brain and then dump it out once they finish the test
    • In the modern world, you need to be careful not to be overstimulated
    • Spend at least a couple hours per day really thinking through what you’re doing in your life

3 Reasons Most People Fail Nov 24, 2019
    Show notes

“To be good in business, you have to be able to listen carefully and read people” - Tai Lopez

    (click to tweet)

Stubbornness is a primary reason for most people’s inability to achieve what they want, and be successful on their own terms. When you are stubborn, you limit your opportunities. But the truth is that really good opportunities do not come around too often in life, so if you really want to be successful you have to seize them when they do, and take full advantage of them.

In addition, a lot of people are completely unwilling and even unable to see their own faults, because of their sensitivity to input and correction from others. When you are corrected, but all you can see or feel is how hurt you are that someone else doesn’t think you know everything, you are setting yourself up for failure.

Listen to this episode to hear the 3 reasons most people fail, and how you can avoid them, to achieve great things in your life.

Don’t forget, you can listen to The Tai Lopez Show on Spotify! Click “Follow” and let me know what you think!

“If things change, you acquire new evidence, you need to change and not be stubborn” - Tai Lopez

    (click to tweet)

    Points to Keep In Mind

    • The number 1 reasons people aren’t successful is because they are stubborn and unable to change
    • To be good in business, you have to be able to listen carefully and read people
    • Most people are completely unwilling to change their routine
    • If things change, you acquire new evidence, you need to change and not be stubborn
    • By being stubborn, you limit your opportunities
    • Do not be overly optimistic. Very few lives are full of opportunities, so seize them when you do
    • Many people are overly sensitive to advice or correction

“Good eating lifestyle is not a diet, because it’s not limiting. It’s a lifestyle” - Tai Lopez

    (click to tweet)

The Gracie Diet is an eating lifestyle, developed by the Gracie family of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fame, and designed to combine the correct foods with each other, to give you energy and health to accomplish what you want in life.

But even more fundamentally, in this episode I talk about why it is important to be willing to experiment. Those who have done incredible things have always been willing to experiment, to try things out and see if they work, and whether that’s diet, lifestyle, habits, or anything else, everyone is different, and so experimentation is often the only way you can know if something is right for you specifically.

“When starting a new lifestyle, take it slowly and in stages” -Tai Lopez

    (click to tweet)

    Points to Keep In Mind

    • The fuel you put in your body is going to affect your performance in a powerful way
    • Most people don’t pay nearly enough attention to how certain foods make them feel
    • Many people are guided almost entirely by the pleasure of eating
    • Good eating lifestyle is not a diet, because it’s not limiting. It’s a lifestyle
    • Most people lack potassium in their diet
    • Eat fruit for dessert
    • A 24 fast once per month is a great cleanse
    • If you write down everything that you eat, you will realize that you’re not eating the way you want
    • When starting a new lifestyle, take it slowly and in stages
    • Make sure you hang out with people who eat similarly to the way you want to eat, because it will affect you greatly
    • Be constantly willing to try out different things, to find out what works for you
    • Willingness to experiment is extremely important to success
    • Take naps

People are much closer to their side hustle than they think. A lot of people think that they need to acquire new skills in order to start a side hustle, but the reality is that most people already have a fantastic skill, probably several, that could be turned into a side hustle.

Today, we’re talking with Chris Guillebeau about the 3 ways you can start building a side hustle immediately. Procrastination is the killer of hopes and dreams, so there really is no reason to wait, and Chris talks us through the 3 ways that you can start earning money on your own terms today.

“Procrastination is the killer of hopes and dreams” -Tai Lopez

    (click to tweet)

    Points to Keep In Mind

    • Build on your strengths, rather than trying to get a different strength
    • Everyone's an expert in something, they just don’t always know it
    • Brainstorm through the things you’re good at, write them all down, to organize your potential ideas
    • Get things out in the world, even if you feel like it’s not ready, because you probably won’t ever think it’s ready
    • Procrastination is the killer of hopes and dreams
    • Some of those closest to you will become the people who mess up your world the most, because the will externalize their own paranoia
    • Don’t project your own insecurities about yourself on other people
    • If you can come up with $100, you can change your life financially
    • People are often looking for a way to remove all insecurity in their life, but that is the wrong goal
    • Understand the cycles that will always come

3 Ways the Average Person Can Start a Side Hustle

1- Look at the skills you already have, rather trying to get a new skill

2 - Don’t just have idea, go from idea to OFFER. The promise. How will this change your life?

3 - Launch before you think you’re ready

“It’s ok to be a little eccentric, but know where it becomes a problem” - Tai Lopez

    (click to tweet)

As you go through life, you come to the realization that many people have serious psychological problems. Whatever metric or system you use to measure psychological issues, you will find that a very large number of the people that you run across exhibit those traits.

But times reveals everything, so when it comes to deciding the people you will have relationships with, whether personal or business, give it some time. It’s easy for someone to pretend to be someone that they are not for a few weeks or a few months, but try to give it a year to make sure you know who they really are.

Then, understand that everyone has a little weird in them. Everyone has a different mix of character traits, with desirable and less desirable aspects mixed in. Just make sure the weirdness doesn’t out-weigh the rest too much. Allow for the mix in your relationships, as long as it’s not overboard.

“Three things that will mess you up: Pride, stubbornness, and being overly sensitive” - Tai Lopez

    (click to tweet)

    Points to Keep In Mind

    • Probably about 70% of people that you will run into have serious psychological issues
    • If you don’t understand psychological issues, you might start second-guessing yourself and thinking that you’re the one with issues
    • The dark triad is one way to understand psychological issues of varying degrees
    • It’s ok to be a little eccentric, but know where it becomes a problem
    • Three things that will mess you up: Pride, stubbornness, and being overly sensitive
    • A lot of times pride expresses itself as anger
    • Often, stubborn people come across as very nice, but do not act on advice
    • Everybody is allowed to be a little weird. Maybe 20%. Just not too much
    • The first step in progress is massive awareness
    • Be careful about all new relationships. Time reveals all, so give it time to understand who people really are
    • Be honest with yourself. Admit who you are and your weakness. And see if maybe you should get a pro to help you, and see a psychologist
