The Path of most resistance Feb 01, 2022
    Show notes

The path of least resistance could be beneficial in some environments, but when it comes to personal development I believe this way of thinking can set you back. If you're trying to become the best version of yourself, trust me, the road will get bumpy. Self-doubt, looking at the skeletons in your closet, guilt, relationships, bad decision, mental roadblocks are all things that we need to examine and find solutions for ourselves. This path is long, bumpy, and full of resistance.

The question is, do you have the character to take this path. Just a heads up..it's hard and could be lonely.

Jeff Eberhart | What all former athletes should know Jan 25, 2022
    Show notes

My guest this week is Jeff Eberhart. Jeff is the vice president of the northwest region of athletes to careers. He is very passionate about helping athletes transition to their careers after sport. After working and talking with student-athletes for 18 years at the University of Oregon and for the last three years with the Oregon Athlete Foundation, the biggest hurdle they face is the transition from being a student-athlete to a "former" athlete. What we discussed:

    • How to share your experiences in your sport and translate that onto a resume.
    • Your sport was your job (at college). Time management skills, leadership, overcoming adversity, team-oriented are a few important skills that you most likely mastered.
