Bhrett McCabe: My Perspective on Elite Performance Nov 01, 2019
    Show notes

This week on The Secrets to Winning, we have a bit of a unique situation. First off, here's a little backstory. A couple of months ago one of my good buds - a former PGA Tour player - said to me "You've got some amazing guests, and I've learned a ton. But one thing I feel like I'm missing is YOUR perspectives. You do a good job of integrating your ideas into the conversation, but you're respectful of other people's platforms so you don't want to take their attention. But I want to hear from YOU."

So this episode we flipped the script. I am the guest and interviewing me is good friend Ryan Brown, a sports radio host for one of the largest and most listened to sports talk shows in the country. Ryan asks me the hard-hitting questions that I usually ask our guests. If you want to know what it takes to be an elite performer from my perspective, you are in the right place!

Gina Snyder: My Inspirational Comeback Story Oct 25, 2019
    Show notes

Once fully healed, Gina gave softball another shot and walked-on at the University of Arizona, a perennial softball power. She made the team and earned wins over UCLA, Florida State, and Team Japan (the #2 ranked team in the world). Throughout this episode, Gina talks about her debilitating illness, her mindset to overcome her circumstances, and ultimately, get back on the field. Truly inspiring!

Garrett Powell: The Competition Behind the Bachelorette Oct 18, 2019

Reality shows in this country are massive. It seems like they consume the primetime slots of network television across all stations. As a psychologist, I am a huge fan of The Bachelor and Bachelorette series'. Whether you watch them or not (more than likely you do, whether you want to admit it or not), I think these are the best two shows on human behavior and competition that have ever been created.

Our guest on this week's episode is Garrett Powell, someone who has experienced all of the craziness that is The Bachelorette first-hand as a contestant this past season (season 15). In real life, Garrett is a PGA Tour Professional at Shoal Creek Golf Club in Birmingham, Alabama, one of the finest private clubs in the United States.

Ryan Holiday: Stillness is the Key Oct 04, 2019
    Show notes

Our guest this week is none other than bestselling author Ryan Holiday talking about his new book Stillness is the Key and how that applies to performers and competitors in all walks of life. Ryan has written countless bestselling books and has made ancient wisdom wildly popular with a new generation of leaders in sports, politics, and technology with The Obstacle Is the Way and Ego Is the Enemy. In his new book, Stillness Is the Key, Holiday draws on timeless Stoic and Buddhist philosophy to show why slowing down is the secret weapon for those charging ahead.

All great leaders, thinkers, artists, athletes, and visionaries share one indelible quality. It enables them to conquer their tempers. To avoid distraction and discover great insights. To achieve happiness and do the right thing. Ryan Holiday calls it stillness--to be steady while the world spins around you. How can you be calm in the midst of chaos?
