When I was born, I was born Ryan McCord.

When my parents split, my father left and it would be many years before I'd see him again.

My mother met a man and his last name was Stewman and he adopted me.

I later learned he was adopted, too.

That name wasn't even his.

Later, when I met my wife, she had a son, Asher and I adopted him, too. He now carries the Stewman name.

So why do I share this?

You have a name.

No matter where it came from, you owe it to yourself to mean something.

You'll need to fight for what you want.

Educate yourself on things and learn how to do things that help advance your family, your faith, your fitness, and your finances.

It starts with you deciding how you're going to make your name mean something.

Shut them the fuck down.

Who you were when you were a kid is not who you are today.

Who you are today is different than whom you were yesterday.

If there are people who try to keep their thumb on you as you make your way up, release them from your life and shut them down.

They're not going where you're going.

Stay focused on your mission.

The work you put in the gym today may not show up for 6 months.

The money you invest may not mature for 10 years.

The family you create may not be there for you if you allow your scars to get in the way of having a great relationship with them.

Stay focused.

EXCUSES

Back in September 2019, I was ejected from an ATV, landed on my head, broke my neck, back, and one of my arms.

The doctors said I would never walk again.

I couldn't accept that.

I said, "Fuck Your Excuses."

I did everything I needed to in order to get back to work.

I had to rebuild my body to get back into shape.

If I had a dime for every time I've heard someone say why they can't get in shape, I'd be a billionaire.

Walk motherfucker!

Get into the gym.

Eat healthily.

So many people are married to their excuses.

Life will fill you with so many excuses and reasons to quit, but you have to be willing to look yourself in the mirror and say, "Fuck Your Excuses!"

If you want a magnificent life, you have to be willing to say, "Fuck Your Excuses" and start living by that mantra.

No one responded until the week of my visit.

At this point, I had already moved on cause I thought no one was interested.

It's also the reason why they have experience living one year 10 years in a row.

Right now, you have to stay focused on what's next, especially with everything happening in the world.

Do you know what your default mindset is?

It's the operating system of our brain.

Everything we do comes out of a thought.

It controls how we operate.

Most of our default mindsets come from our family.

If your family votes a certain way, it's because of your family.

If your family feels a certain way about money, it's because of your family.

If your family looks a certain way, it's because of your family.

We often stay in our default mindsets because of our operating systems.

We have to continuously upgrade the way we think if we're to grow.

When you get a new iPhone, you have to upgrade your operating system and learn something new.

When Facebook changes the way we navigate the platform, we have to learn something new.

Change is a good thing.

When it comes, don't fight it.

Learn how to work it to your advantage.

Change is inevitable.

It's going to be forced on you.

Find the loopholes and reprogram your default mindset.

You shouldn't be thinking the same way at 40 as we did at 20.

Keep upgrading the way you think and leave your default mindset in a constantly improved state so you can continue to grow!

Don't get in your feelings if you don't have to.

Feelings are fake.

They're peptides that come from hormones that become feelings.

I'm not telling you that you can't have feelings.

But you can't be a feelings first person.

If you were a feelings-first person, you'll never feel your way into action.

There are many times I don't want to work out, but I know I have to do the work.

I let actions turn into feelings.

I don't feel like doing a podcast, but I do it first and always feel better and accomplished once I've done my episodes for the week.

People are wanting the government to make them feel great.

Their family.

Their clients.

Their friends.

Don't get caught up in feelings.

Be an actions-first person and you'll enjoy the feelings of being accomplished from doing the things you didn't feel like doing.

Feelings don't make shit happen.

Doing things does.

Do first. Feel later.

You'll be better for it.

Online, we see people everyday talk shit.

They talk shit on people they don't know.

When I shared a post online about a T-shirt of Donald Trump flipping people off, I got a ton of hate.

I wore that same shirt on the street and people of all creeds and colors came up to me to tell me they liked my shirt.

Not one person threw shade at me.

I get hated on every single day online.

If you're doing this, you might need to listen to this episode twice.

We have 2 choices....

We can have a great experience or make hate with people we don't know.

Stop hating on people you don't know.

Choose to find goodness.

Nothing great comes from hate.

No one is coming to save you!

I'm not trying to be doom and gloom over here.

Your parents, your teachers, and the government sure as hell is not coming to help you.

You've got to save yourself.

Make plans.

No one is going to save you.

Batman, Superman, and Aquaman are fake.

Count on you.

Be sure you keep yourself from making mistakes that will cost your financial and personal well-being.

Right now, we're navigating dangerous waters thinking the government is going to save us.

How do you save yourself?

Get focused.

Come up with a plan.

Take action daily and don't quit until you hit your goals.

Your family is not going to save you.

There's a saying...."If it is to be, it's up to me."

When I went to jail, no one came to save me.

When I went financially broke cause my parents ripped me off, I had to dig myself out the hole.

We have to be focused on the solution or find out the hard way that no one is going to save us.
