    1205 | Carrie Wilkerson: “Balance is a Myth.” Jul 15, 2021
    Show notes

On today’s episode, Carrie Wilkerson shows how futility and overwhelm can come from everybody else’s view of success. However, everyone’s definition of success is unique.
The concept of balance is equally relative. Because we all have different situations and circumstances. As she says, balance is in the eye of the beholder. What may work for you might not work for the rest and vice versa.
Carrie encourages you to go back to your foundations and to remind yourself of our core values. Be focused and be confident that your efforts will add up to success. But first, what is success for you?

1204 | Jim Rohn: “If the Why is Powerful, the How is Easy.” Jul 14, 2021
    Show notes

Today, Jim Rohn shares with us four key questions to ponder if you want to be successful. The first one deals with working on your list of WHYs because Jim explains that one of the big thrusts to success is to come up with a big strong enough WHY. In other words, if the why is powerful, the how becomes easy.
The next question to ponder is why not. Establish a goal, give it thoughtful consideration and consider why not? And consequently, why not you? After all, you’ve got the brains. You can make decisions, so why not you?
And finally, Jim asks you to consider why not now? For there never was a better time than now. Take this dream and give it life. Now.

1202 | Lisa Nichols: “What are You Willing to Give Yourself Permission to Do?” Jul 12, 2021
    Show notes

On today’s Motivation Monday episode, Lisa Nichols shares her success story, highlighting that there is no overnight success. Instead, success is a product of what you’re willing to do in the dark when no one’s looking. It’s what you do simply because it’s the right thing to do.
Lisa encourages you to just do it because it feels right, especially when it’s keeping you up at night because it’s more difficult for you not to do it. Your gift is given to you, not for you. Its purpose (and your purpose) is to help save and change lives.

1201 | Greg S. Reid: “Successful People Seek Counsel, Where Failures Listen to Opinion.” Jul 09, 2021
    Show notes

Greg Reid wraps up the week with a story that will make you think twice before giving up. The best time to take action is now. Regardless of what anyone says, never let another person hold you back or talk you out of what you know to be true.
Successful people seek counsel where failures listen to opinions. Counsel is based on wisdom, expertise, and mentorship. Whereas opinion is often based on ignorance and lack of knowledge. Simply put, not every opinion matters.
Greg invites you to step across your fears and worries and just keep going. The moment you’re ready to quit is the time when you need to kick in the most because you can literally be three feet from gold.

1199 | Inky Johnson: “It’s Never About What We Go Through, It’s How We View What We Go Through." Jul 07, 2021
    Show notes

Today, Inky Johnson shares how life's purpose extends to something bigger than us. Every day that we encounter people is a chance to impact somebody else's life.
We all have a purpose that is bigger than ourselves. Understanding that we have purpose that extends beyond ourselves entails passion and compassion. And when we live life from this perspective, we find ourselves more attached to our goal, mission, dedication, and commitment.
In reality, some people are public successes but private failures because sometimes, we get too caught up and distracted that we forget that life is not really about anything superficial and materialistic like bank accounts or cars. Inky reminds us that only two things really matter in life: who we become in life and what we give back to life.

1198 | Jim Rohn: “Do Battle with Your Enemies.” Jul 06, 2021
    Show notes

In this episode, Jim Rohn reveals how to deal with life’s challenges and difficulties. We’ve got to nourish our values and defend ourselves from our enemies, not just from the outside but within us, like indifference, indecision, doubt, and worries.
With faith, courage, and belief, you can overcome these negativities and turn these into excellent opportunities. He also reminds us to be wary of indecisiveness because indecision is the greatest thief of opportunity. Refuse to be a servant to your own worries because doubts rob you of the opportunities in life. So be your own master. After all, the greatest strength and wealth is self-control.
Overall, whatever difficulties or challenges life may throw, at the end of the day, either you run the day or the day runs you.

    1197 | Les Brown: “I Have Had It.” Jul 05, 2021
    Show notes

In this episode, Les Brown explains that there comes a point in our lives where we decide to become more because we realize that we deserve more.
What you have in your life is the direct result of what you believe is possible and what you think that you truly deserve. Life is too short and unpredictable to do something you don’t want to do.
In life, everything that can happen will happen. Adversities and challenges will come and go, but great things start to happen when you decide to become unstoppable. Or as Les says, “When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up.”

1196 | James Clear: “The Actions that You Take Provide Evidence for Who You Are.” Jul 02, 2021
    Show notes

Success does not happen overnight. Likewise, James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, believes that success is the product of daily habits and not the result of a radical change or once-in-a-lifetime transformation. In this episode, James elaborates on the 4 stages of habit formation, pointing out that it’s the small habits that transform us every day.

Most of us want radical change or radical success. But according to James, we overlook the fact that it’s the small habits that transform us every day already. Changes happen habit by habit, with consistency and repetition. And since it’s the habits that will make a massive impact in our lives, changing yourself entails changing your daily routines.

Overall, James firmly believes that if you change your habits, then you can change your life. Tiny changes, remarkable results.
