Gene and cohost Tim Swartz introduce Michael K. Waterman, who explores the magic and mystery of Ancient Egypt, plus the pop culture interest that includes a variety of movies and TV shows. They include the Mummy films, "Stargate" and its three TV spinoffs, and "The Fifth Element." He will also discuss the myths and legends of the presence of Ancient Astronauts. Waterman was born in Brooklyn and raised in Uniondale, New York. He has studied Egyptology for over 50 years and has lectured and taught Ancient Egyptian Religion and Ancient Egyptian Ritual Magick. Waterman worked for Troma Films creating clay models for various movies and is also known as Setna Khamuast — The High Priest and founder of the Per-Ntjeru Temples. And, yes, he also reads hieroglyphics. This is a guest who will focus on topics that we've seldom explored on The Paracast, and we've got lots of questions about the mysteries of the ancient world.

This episode was aired six years before Leslie coauthored The New York Times article revealing a secret Pentagon UFO/UAP program.

Gene and cohost Tim Swartz present a return appearance from Shannon Taggart. She first became aware of Spiritualism as a teenager, when her cousin received a message from a medium that revealed details about her grandfather's death. In 2001, while working as a photographer, she began taking pictures where that message was received, Lily Dale, New York, home to the world's largest Spiritualist community—proceeding to other such communities as England’s Arthur Findlay College. Taggart expected to spend one summer figuring out the tricks of the Spiritualist trade. Instead, Spiritualism’s mysterious processes, earnest practitioners, and neglected photographic history became an inspiration. Her project evolved into an eighteen-year journey that has taken her around the world. In this interview, she also discusses the 11th Annual Symposium at Lilly Dale, NY, set for July 23, 2025 through July 26, 2025. Hansen has been a longtime paranormal researcher in academia, science and elsewhere. As he states at his site, "The paranormal encompasses everything from levitating monks to ESP, from spirits to cattle mutilations—an incredible and unsavory hodgepodge. The mix seems incoherent. But the trickster makes sense of it."

Gene and cohost Tim Swartz feature author Steve Taylor, a senior lecturer in psychology at Leeds Beckett University, and the author of several best-selling books on psychology and spirituality. The main focus of this interview is his book, Time Expansion Experiences: A Psychology of Time Perception and the Illusion of Linear Time. The book's main focus is time phenomena, including those involving Near Death Experiences, along with possible cosmic consciousness sources of creativity. He is a past chair of the Transpersonal Psychology Section of the British Psychological Society, and his previous books include The Adventure, Extraordinary Awakenings, The Clear Light, The Fall, Out of the Darkness, The Calm Center, The Leap and Spiritual Science. They have been published in more than 20 languages, and Taylor regularly appears in the media in the UK, including Radio 4’s Prayer for the Day and the BBC World Service. He also writes blog articles for Scientific American, The Conversation and for Psychology Today. Eckhart Tolle has described his work as "an important contribution to the shift in consciousness which is happening on our planet at present."
