Nina Burleigh - A Very Private Woman - The Life and Unsolved Murder of Presidential Mistress Mary Meyer
Following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Mary Eno Pinchot Meyer, the President’s long term mistress, was found dead on Chesapeake & Ohio Canal towpath in Washington D.C. on October 12, 1964. Initially an arrest of a man called Ray Crump took place following testimony mainly from a mechanic Henry Wiggins, who told Police he saw "a black man in a light jacket, dark slacks, and a dark cap standing over the body of a white woman.". Crump was later quitted due to an almost iron clad (but unheard in court) alibi from a third party.
Nina Burleigh’s book on Meyer has been hailed as ‘the reference book’ on Meyer, and focusses on her almost beatnick lifestyle, one which involved the President of the United States. In this interview she tells Ed Opperman of this remarkable and sadly almost forgotten woman who would, had the President not died, have changed the world.

Wesley Swearingen - Secrets Uncovered J Edgar Hoover.
M. Wesley Swearingen is a former FBI agent and the author of FBI Secrets: An Agent's Exposé. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Swearingen later graduated from Ohio State University and joined the FBI while it was directed by J. Edgar Hoover.
Quite a number of revelations have come to light in the fifty years since Hoover left the FBI, including his personal life and his almost Monarchic rule over the bureau. In a revealing interview Mr Swearingen gives his views on the way the personal and business relationships of Hoover influenced the entire FBI, from their operations and casework to the public image of the service.

When Jasun Horsley was younger, he wanted to be a wizard. He studied the occult and it gave him a certain degree of comfort away from the trials and troubles of the real world.

John Adam Klyczek joins Ed to talk about the increasing lurch towards privatisation in public schools, on the spoken premise that it allows a more uniform approach to a students' education. In fact, it is more useful for corporations to gather data on those students to identify weaknesses in the student, such as low ability or unwillingness to comply, and this create a kind of Minority Report situation where students are marked out as likely criminal or low skill adult; this data mining is harmful and can be manipulated to enforce mandatory medical and legal procedures.

Ed Is joined by artist Owen Cyclops. Own illustrates and makes cartoons, but he also is very interested in the boundaries between religion and science. Are Wiccan and Pagan practices really so far removed from Christianity? Could the legends of real magic just be science which we don’t yet understand?
After all, many of the technological devices we take for-granted today would have been viewed as magical or mysterious just fifty years ago.

Barrett Brown - Media Manipulation and Internet Misinformation
Barrett Brown is an American journalist, essayist, activist and former associate of Anonymous. In 2010, he founded Project PM, a group that used a wiki to analyze leaks concerning the military-industrial complex. It was classified a "criminal organization" by the Department of Justice. In late 2020, Brown restarted Project PM.
In January 2015, Brown was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison for the crimes of accessory after the fact, obstruction of justice, and threatening a federal officer stemming from the FBI's investigation into the 2012 Stratfor email leak. Prosecutors had previously brought other charges associated with sharing a link to the leaked Stratfor data, but those charges were dropped in 2014. As part of his sentence, Brown was also required to pay almost $900,000 to Stratfor in restitution.[9]
In November 2020, Brown claimed asylum in the UK on the basis that he had been persecuted in the US for his journalism. Brown says in 2021 he overheard officers discussing sealed charges in the US against him when he was arrested in London for allegedly overstaying his visa and incitement offenses. He was convicted of causing intentional, harassment alarm or distress.
He talks to Ed Opperman about media manipulation, Internet security and the use of false/inciteful material by the services which are supposed to do exactly the opposite, the reporters who have effectively sold out to corporations and the less than objective coverage that follows; he also talks about the consequences for those who whistle blow on such activities.
