We are back with another episode of the Non-Prophets. The Lord of Levels Jason Sherwood is back in the conductor chair where he is joined by our Scott Dickie, Richard Giliver and the cutest emo cartoon in Atheism Teo el Ateo!
First up, Richard Giliver starts us off on Biden’s Executive Order to protect abortion rights. Pressured by the electorate to push for reproductive rights, Biden releases an executive order to protect access to abortion as part of his administration's response to the Supreme Court's ruling last month overturning the constitutional right to the procedure. Does it go far enough?
Next on the docket, Scott Dickie takes us to his neck of the woods to discuss The Wisconsin Supreme Court handing down to the Republican-controlled State Senate broad authority over the makeup of state boards and commissions. Is there a way to stop gerrymandering? How does it affect the rest of the United States?
For the next segment, our resident cartoon Teo el Ateo leads us into a looking back to discuss the founding of the Christian Scientists Church? Can being Christian and science go hand in hand?
Finally, Jason Sherwood (The Techlord) wraps us up in a nice bow with a Strange but True discussing the Georgia Guidestones in Elbert County getting vandalized. There have been lots of spooky and spectacular claims associated with the Guidestones and dubbed “America’s Stonehenge.” Hear the panel talk about some of those claims and even how a certain congressional candidate wanted them gone!

What a wild ride, and just think this is only the beginning! Can we all get off this roller coaster?
Yes, The Non-Prophets are talking about the worst Supreme Court decision next to all the next decisions they are likely going to make in the next few months. This time we decided to attack it a little differently. So come Sunday at 3:00 PM Central, sit back, relax, and we will all get through this together.
For this episode we have a brand new conductor. Sorry Richard Gilliver, wish it was under better circumstances. He is joined by a newcomer, though you might remember him from Truth Wanted Live from UTSA’s Secular Student Alliance, Zachary Shedd! Again sorry the timing sucks! Rounding out the rest of the stellar panel we have Genevieve from That GD Show, and Josh Entner from Bloody Good Film Podcast.
First up we discuss what it was like for women before the Roe Vs. Wade decision. Was it a perfect utopia of super protected babies and everyone was happy? Was it a barren hellscape fill of fetuses and rusty hangers? We got this history for you so you can go into these discussions better armed.
Are you one who gets your news and daily topics from the internet? I assume that if you are reading this right now that is at least sometimes a yes. We all know that privacy of a woman’s body has gone away, but what people might not know is the dangers of even googling abortion topics. We look into some privacy and security tips to keep you safe and still fighting.
So then what can we do? Well as a 501(c)(3) there are some limitations on what we can suggest. That doesn’t mean we cannot look into what others are doing. There are people from all walks of life fighting for their rights, for your rights, for everyone’s rights. From people marching on the streets to companies offering pay to those in states that made abortion illegal? This is something to keep an eye on!
Finally this week, we figured we would change it up a little bit. To cleanse the pallet of all these sour tastes the week has brought us. We discuss a Looking Back of Churches v. Scholarships. Join us on a journey through time when Pope Pius X condemned the intellectual movement in the early 1900’s. Who would have thought over 100 years later he would start winning?

We talk about Juneteenth. What it is, why it is important, and how it started. Would you believe there is a Texas connection to our latest federal day off? Makes it sad that due to bad policy decisions 15 states are not able to even teach about it!
Up next, what happens if you get a Catholic school that wants to put up a BLM or Pride flag? Well you get the Catholic Church saying you cannot be a Catholic school anymore. The Bishop says seem me after class and then gave a Massachusetts school detention. Maybe it was all that note passing with that cute progressive ideas. Talk about two steps forward and one giant leap behind!
Now, what if I told you faith can lead you to being pro-abortion? Sounds crazy right? Well in our next segment a rabbi explains why their faith leads them to the idea that abortion is ok. This might seem like a stretch for many, but it dose show that one person’s faith can lead to a different conclusion compared to another person’s faith. Let’s hope those ideas take off.
Lastly, we Step in the Right Direction. How low can it go? Public belief in a god is limboing further and further. We are now at the lowest point in the history of the United States. Yay! We’re doing it! Belief is still very dangerously high, but comeon! Can we have just a little good news in the sea of sh*t?

Teo tears into Megachurch leader Naasón Joaquín García, for his abrupt guilty plea to three felonies on the eve of a long-awaited trial. Garcia will spend 16 years in prison after pleading guilty Friday to two counts of forcible oral copulation involving minors and one count of a lewd act upon a child who was 15. In exchange, prosecutors dropped 16 counts that included allegations of raping children and women, as well as human trafficking to produce child pornography.
We end with thoughts about how to come out as atheist without damaging your relationships.

First up, Cardinal Glick would be proud of what a Catholic Diocese of Erie is trying to do. Get them while they are young! New programs push confirmation earlier and they are ramping up the indoctrination making sure to fill them pews!
Then… oh yes we are talking about gun violence. There has been far too much. While we are not suggesting solutions, it would help to discover when and where all the many shootings have happened this year. Maybe someday we can do something about the United States' fatal love affair with deadly weapons.
Next we take a look at the Southern Baptist Convention as I am sure they are looking to move in the right direction after all their scandals over the past couple years. Nope? Even more sex abuse, cover ups, and databases? Well, I am sure they will get on the right moral footing some decade.
Lastly, we talk about Shit Internet Apologist Say, and boy does friend of the show Greg Locke have a lot to say. Look, he’s just tired of people telling him he can tell others how to vote because of tax statuses. So in a move of fire and brimstone, he dissolves his church tax exempt status! Are we sure this isn’t also a step in the right direction? Oh no wait it can’t be because he is still spouting off with things he likely shouldn’t be saying.

First up, Talking all about Texas HB 20 which is to keep media platforms from editing or removing posts based on the posters view point. It’s one of those freedom bills that seems like a good idea until you realize they just want to turn Twitter into Parler. I’m sure that isn’t a dated reference.
Up next, we head to the land of potatoes where the LT Governor says that “God calls us to pick up the sword and fight - Christ will reign in the state of Idaho”. We have some questions about this. Sadly this type of language might be gaining traction as we are attempted to be dragged into a theocracy.
A disclaimer for this next segment. Please do not watch while sitting down to a meal. Especially if it is Thai. Police arrest a leader of a corpse worshiping cult. If it just stopped at the worshiping maybe this would have been a non-story. Also, did no one tell them the sacrament is metaphorical? Also, also, it’s supposed to be the body of Christ, not the body of Chris! (bah dum tiss)
Lastly, The numbers have been crunched and it seems that the non-religious are overwhelming pro-choice! Whether you are surprised or not it does seem that once you start thinking and learning for yourself you tend to think people having choices of their body is a good thing!

Well it is finally here. The Roe versus Wade deep dive we never wanted to do. Yet we do have one of the best panels for this discussion. Our conductor this week Cynthia McDonald is a social worker deep in the trenches of Chicago. Student Doctor Ben is an aspiring and talented MD. MD Awere a fully practicing MD from up north. Then you have Dr. Abby Hafer a PhD teaching prospective doctors all about anatomy and physiology! We couldn’t get a better panel if we tried!
Since this is a deep dive into nasty waters we only have three segments for you. First we look into History’s Pivot to attack Roe v Wade. From the big hair of the 80s to today we look into how attitudes changed, but the attack kept getting worse.
Then we talk about the effects of what will happen when Roe v Wade is rolled back. Does the US turn into a conservative utopia, or are even more people going to die? Only history can tell for sure.
