Interview With "Harriet" Costume Designer, Paul Tazewell Dec 10, 2019

Show notes

"Harriet" may seem like your typical awards season biopic drama but it's so much more than that. Much of that is a credit to the enormous amount of talent involved in front of and hehind the camera, including Tony Award winning Costume Designer Paul Tazewell ("Hamilton"). Paul was kind enough to chat with Next Best Picture about his lush and colorful period work on Kasi Lemmons' film. "The Two Popes" Dec 10, 2019

Show notes

For this week's second podcast review, Josh Parham, Dan Bayer & I talk about Netflix's final awards hopeful for the season: "The Two Popes." Starring Jonathan Pryce and Anthony Hopkins in what is mostly a two-hander between two acting legends, director Fernando Meirelles and screenwriter Anthony McCarten's depiction of these two holy but still flawed individuals is one of the year's biggest surprises. Filled with nuance and flourish, the film throws a lot at its audience but still manages to be entertaining and soulful. Did we have some issues? Sure. Take a listen below to hear our full confession. Check out more on NextBestPicture.com Please subscribe on...
