Show notes

For this week's main review Nicole Ackman, Ryan C. Showers and I discuss Greta Gerwig's adaptation of Louisa May Alcoltt's "Little Women," starring Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Timothee Chalamet, Emma Watson, Laura Dern, Meryl Streep and more! Following her Academy Award nominated work on "Lady Bird," there is quite a bit of hype and expectation surrounding Gerwig's version of the beloved story, especially considering it has a devoted following. What did the NBP team think of it? Tune in below to hear our thoughts on the film's writing, performances, technicals, Oscar chances and more! Interview With "Clemency" Cinematographer, Eric Branco Dec 27, 2019

Show notes

"Clemency" debuted earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival and has been making its way through various other festivals before opening in limited release this past week. At its center is a wonderful performance from Academy Award nominee Alfre Woodard but under the strong direction of Chinonye Chukwu. That direction and vision guides other elements of the film, including its understated but nonetheless effective cinematography by Eric Branco. Eric was kind enough to take a few minutes to talk about his work on the film and how to helped guide Chukwu's vision. Take a listen down below. For this week's second podcast review, I am joined by Dan Bayer and Cody Dericks to discuss Tom Hooper's musical masterpiece "Cats." Just kidding. It's not a masterpiece. Far from it in fact. Interview With "Richard Jewell" Star, Paul Walter Hauser Dec 18, 2019

Show notes

Paul Walter Hauser is an actor who got his start in stand up comedy and television. He's slowly been building his way into the public consciousness these past few years with scene-stealing turns in "I, Tonya," "BlacKkKlansman" and "Late Night." His latest film "Richard Jewell," finds him in the titular leading role as Richard Jewell, a man who saved many innocent lives during the 1996 Olympic bombing but was then later accused by the media to have had carried out the attack himself, which was later disproven. Paul Walter Hauser has endeared himself to the NBP Team through his interactions with us on social media and we were happy to chat with him about his career thus far, his experience working with Clint Eastwood, what he wants people to take away from his latest film, what is next for the young actor and more.
