Petras home birth plans for her and her baby girl went out the window as she went passed 42 weeks gestation.
She had to surrender her deep desire for a home birth and accept going to the hospital.
Having a hospital birth however showed her that she only really needed herself in order to have her natural birth.
An empowering realization indeed.
