This week our episode is with the gal who just made history in Fort Smith by being the first Breeder/Owner/Rider to win both the futurity and derby, Jodee Miller. Jodee took home the crown in both categories on FrenchStreaktoVegas colts, which happens to be the Stallion that Jodee and her sister created their program, MR Performance Horses, around. This is a great story that you aren't going to want to miss. #FortSmithChamps #frenchstreaktovegas #mrperformancehorses
Jill Lane Quarter Horses is known throughout the nation for their quality breeding program and the prospects they create year after year. Jill Lane does it all herself: from collecting stallions to breeding the mares, from raising the foals to training and competing on them, Jill has her hand in every pot the barrel racing industry has to offer. Her honest approach and desire to improve not only her program, but the entire industry makes us a huge fan of Jill and the horses in her trailer. She focuses on fast sprinting quarter horses, and we like her style. #JillLaneQuarterHorses #TheMoneyBarrel
Marcie Wilson is known for her fast horses, her competitive drive, and her love for her family. As the mother of two children and the youngest of four barrel racing sisters, Marcie has barrel racing in her blood. Kayla got the opportunity to talk all things barrel racing with Marcie, to include how her upbringing has shaped her into the horsewoman she is today, her family's story of how they came to purchase "The Goodbye Lane", and how she keeps her head in the game when running for thousands and thousands of dollars. What an awesome story! #TheGoodbyeLane #MarcieWilson #TheMoneyBarrel
This week Kayla had the opportunity to talk with a true legend of the industry, Jimmie Munroe. Jimmie shares with us her story-from being a breakaway roper turned World Champion Barrel Racer, Tie-Down Roper and All Around Cowgirl, to how she has always felt the need to give back to the sport that has given her so much. An 11X NFR qualifier, past WPRA president, National Pro-Rodeo and National Cowboy Hall of Famer - this is such a great story about about how far the industry has come as well as Jimmie's thoughts on where we are headed. #WPRA #HallofFame #JimmieMunroe

If you have paid attention to any of the results of the biggest races in the industry lately they all have one thing in common - Janna Brown's name is near the top! Coming off a busy few weeks including winning the American Semi Finals long go and being the reserve derby champ at the Elite we got the opportunity to talk to Janna about her training program. Not only is she an outstanding jockey and trainer, she is a mom to a very busy little boy and has to manage it all while continuing to win. You will enjoy this one!
We had her daughter, Anita Ellis, on our podcast last year and it was about time we got to talk to the one and only Vauna Walker! A million dollar rider known for her consistent winning ways year in and year out, it was great to have the opportunity to pick her brain on her futurity horse philosophy. From exhibitioning to bits, picking races to enter, keeping them sane and how she got started, we talked about everything!
