When Does A Mistake Become a Lesson? Sep 23, 2024
    Show notes

"We beat ourselves up for past decisions considering them mistakes when they actually are not or were not mistakes at all."

In this episode, I talk about something that we all deal with—when does a mistake become a lesson? Inspired by an email from Kyle Creek, we break down the importance of learning from your screw-ups and why making new ones is part of the journey.

We get into the difference between a mistake and a choice, how ego plays into our decisions, and why it's so easy to label everything as a mistake (hint: don't do that!). I also share why it’s key to celebrate your choices and flip your mistakes into chances for growth.

Stick around till the end, where I remind you to ask yourself the right questions and keep learning from every experience.

Tune in and let’s grow together to:

    • Turn every mistake into a lesson by choosing to learn from it
    • Break the cycle of repeating the same mistakes by stepping out of your comfort zone and admitting when you're wrong
    • Ask yourself reflective questions like "What worked?", "What didn’t work?", and "What will I do differently next time?" to navigate mistakes and move forward

If you’re ready to turn your mistakes into wins, this one’s for you!

Being a Black Belt in Life with Brady McLean Sep 06, 2024
    Show notes

"God doesn't find the qualified and give them a call. He calls the chosen ones and qualifies them all."

This phrase tickled me to my core, and that’s exactly how this entire episode felt!

In this episode, I sat down with Brady, a brand builder and content strategist, to dive deep into what it really means to build a brand that stands out. We’re not just talking logos and taglines here—Brady brings the real talk on how aligning with your true calling and listening to that inner voice can make all the difference in your personal and business success.

Brady shares his own journey of self-discovery, the importance of spending time alone, and how it helped him find his purpose. We talk about the challenges of seeking validation, the fear of failure, and why letting go of the outcome is key to telling a better story.

We get real about the pressures to present a perfect image and the incredible strength that comes from showing up just as you are—even when it’s scary.

Tune in and let’s get real about living a life that’s true to you! In this episode you’ll learn about:

    • Aligning your brand with your calling and values, not just the external image
    • Make every experience with your name, company, and employees a reflection of your brand
    • Prioritizing being authentic and true to yourself over seeking external validation or fitting into societal norms
    • Creating a safe space for others to openly share their struggles and build genuine connections
