    The 3 reasons why I still wasn't prioritizing myself May 06, 2022
    Show notes

This week’s confession is all about me:

It’s about my inability to consistently choose myself in ALL things. It means prioritizing my needs, my desires, and my goals in all things –

Now let's be clear, I’ve chosen myself before, in many instances, and continue to do so - but it's the "in all things" and "consistently" is the problem.

So this week, I share three reasons why I still continue to put myself second and how it's holding me back.

    Show notes

    Support -

It's the one thing many go-getters, entrepreneurs, and quite frankly, people, expect from their loved ones. For those who profess love and care, it seems like a simple ask to "show up" when a person needs help in their business, career, or just life. Well, that expectation will leave you disappointed.

Listen to this live conversation with host, Cameo King and Tanesha Ash Shakoor, J.D. founder of Voices of Color at the National Professional Men's Network and the National Professional Women's Network Business Expo in Grand Rapids, MI as they answer why "no one is showing up for you."

    Show notes

It goes without saying that the birthing mother's health is foundational in determining the health of the child. What she eats, her emotional state, and her healthcare, all have an impact on the health of the child. But what about years or decades later? Does the mother/child relationship impact the child's health more than we know?

Listen as Dr. Shoyinka, Medical Director of the Ingham County Health Department, explores the ways genetics, specifically from mothers', play a role in our health outcomes as adults.

Why most women fear "submission" Apr 13, 2022
    Show notes

It seems like in the year 2022, with record-high food & gas prices, MAYBE the ending of the COVID pandemic, and the heightened awareness of America's soul, the success of society still rests in a women's ability to submit to men. (JOKE - laugh)

Yes, submission. It's an extremely controversial never-ending topic. A topic where most conversations surrounding submission are shallow, lack depth, and are one-sided.

In this week's podcast, host, Cameo King of The Good Girl Podcast , and Danielle Moore, licensed mental health therapist and chief practitioner at The Refresh Wellness Center share a perspective with a gutted truth about women who have lost or have a lot to lose in the name of "submission."

    Show notes

    Ya’ll-

I know we are bout tired of this topic!

I am too! I am too!

My friends said, "I ain’t got a dog in this fight!" I do not! I fought tooth and nail whether or not I should say anything about it. And I lost the fight.

But hear me out, this is going to be short and I am intentional about only adding value. I share 3 (quick) points about what this says about you (and not them).

    Show notes

The way Denver Broncos quarterback, Russell Wilson, gushes over his wife Ciara is what dreams are made of! The unequivocal support, the loving her out loud, and his dedication to God - this is what many women desire in their partner. So what do we do - ask our sis, Ciara, "what was the prayer" in hopes that we could manifest the boo of our dreams.

But the truth is many women have been praying that prayer for decades and have yet to see any glimmer of hope. Reka, host of the Single You Podcast asked "What about all the unanswered prayers?" We had a very real conversation this past Monday on her podcast and decided to continue it here.

Our conversation holds no punches about the reality many women of faith face praying for a husband.
