Extra: Tristan Harris On The State Of The AI Race Jul 26, 2025
    Show notes

President Trump aims to make the United States the leader in artificial intelligence.

His administration announced this week an action plan to boost AI development in the U.S., by directing 90 federal policy actions to accelerate innovation and build infrastructure.

This came just days after President Trump attended an AI Summit in Pennsylvania, where technology and energy companies announced billions of dollars in investments in the data centers and energy resources the technology needs

Shortly after the AI summit, we spoke with Tristan Harris, co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology and former Google ethicist.

Harris weighed in on America’s race to lead in AI technology and its fierce competition with China. However, he also urged caution as companies rush to become dominant, warning they should consider the threats AI could pose to our workforce, our children, and our way of life, as they develop more innovative and faster AI models.

We often have to cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full interview.

Today on Fox News Rundown Extra, we will share our entire interview with Tristan Harris, allowing you to hear even more of his take on the state of the AI race.

Many Americans are clueless when it comes to money because the basics of financial literacy—such as balancing a budget or understanding the pitfalls of credit card use—are rarely taught during childhood. This becomes a significant problem when young people enter the real world and sign up for student loans without realizing these debts could follow them for the rest of their lives, hindering their ability to buy a home or start a business. Kevin O’Leary, the chairman of O’Leary Ventures and the star of Shark Tank, joins FOX Business’s Gerri Willis to discuss America’s student debt crisis, the Trump administration forcing student loan borrowers to begin paying up again, and the economic impact of financial illiteracy.

Why Some Republicans Say Now Is The Time For Immigration Reform Jul 24, 2025
    Show notes

Since taking office for a second term, illegal border crossings have dropped to record lows under President Donald Trump. However, his mass deportation policies are facing criticism, as detractors argue that his administration is not solely targeting illegal immigrants with criminal records, and the crackdown could adversely affect industries that rely on migrant workers. In response, there is a bipartisan push to allow certain illegal immigrants who have lived and worked in the country since before 2021 to remain in the country. Florida Republican Congresswoman Maria Salazar spearheaded the Dignity Act and joins the Rundown to discuss her efforts.

For decades, we've seen headlines about honeybee colony collapses plaguing beekeepers. Now the headlines are back, as honeybees are dying in record numbers. With more than a third of our food crops dependent on these vital pollinators, there is concern that these collapses could have wide-sweeping financial impacts for Americans. Ryan Burris, president of the California State Beekeepers Association and a third-generation beekeeper, joins the podcast to explain why so many bees are dying and why he is advocating for stronger government support in providing farmers with the tools to fight evolving threats to the nation’s food system.

Plus, commentary from FOX News Legal Analyst Gregg Jarrett.

The report was authored by 'The Dinah Project', a global initiative to highlight sexual violence being used in conflict zones, and was led by led Ruth Halperin-Kaddari, a women's rights activist and law professor at Bar-Ilan University in Tel Aviv, Israel. FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Doctor Qanta Ahmed, world renown physician based in New York and she is a journalist and a human and women's rights activist, who says it is difficult to find the words to describe the horrors that were used during the October 7th terror attack but we cannot shy away from the stories.

Is America Ready For War In The Indo-Pacific? Jul 23, 2025
    Show notes

The President of the Philippines was at the White House on Tuesday visiting President Trump, discussing the issue of China and their ambitions to expand. U.S. lawmakers have asked the Defense Department to study building a joint munitions hub in the Philippines, as China continues to menace other nations crossing through the South China Sea. When it comes to American military spending, we are on track to allocate more than $920 billion in the next fiscal year, and it appears there’s bipartisan support to fully fund this Pacific Deterrence Initiative. Florida Republican Senator Rick Scott sits on the Armed Services and Homeland Security Committee, and he joined the Rundown to discuss the long-term threats posed by both China and Iran.

The CDC reports an estimated 48,422 deaths from synthetic opioids, mostly fentanyl, in 2024. With a dangerous amount of the drug supply now laced with this deadly substance, overdose deaths are surging, especially among young people. President Trump recently signed the Halt Fentanyl Act, expanding law enforcement’s ability to crack down on traffickers. Gregory Swan, who lost his son Drew to a fentanyl overdose in 2013, co-founded Fentanyl Fathers to raise awareness and prevent more families from suffering the same loss. He joins the Rundown to discuss his mission: educating students, empowering parents, and mobilizing a movement to fight the fentanyl crisis.

Plus, commentary from FOX News Digital columnist David Marcus.
