Show notes

Welcome to a mini-milestone as this is our 75th episode! To celebrate this occasion, we're thrilled to be joined by our friends from The Hyperspace Heroes Podcast (@BrownSquadron). In this episode, we're diving deep into the season finale of The Acolyte. We'll break down the moments that had us on the edge of our seats and those that left us scratching our heads. Did the cameos live up to the hype? And most importantly, was the ending satisfying?

After dissecting the finale, we'll take a step back and look at the series as a whole. We'll share our thoughts on the character arcs, the overarching plot, and the show's impact on the Star Wars universe. And of course, we'll tackle the big question: will there be a Season 2?

But that's not all! We're also looking ahead to ICCC Nashville in October, discussing what we're excited about and most looking forward to. We'll wrap up the episode by showcasing some fine additions to our collections, sharing our latest finds and favorite pieces.

Sit back and relax, this is where the fun begins!

"A Sol Crushing Choice" - The Acolyte S1:E6&7 (Ep #74) Jul 12, 2024

Show notes

We are quickly closing in on the season (series?) finale of The Acolyte as we take a look at Episodes 6 & 7.

We open this episode chatting 4th of July fun, and whether the movie theater experience is worth the steep price tag.

Turning to The Acolyte we take a look at Episode #6 which brings us some interesting story building with Osha and Qimir, but tries to torpedo that with Mae and Sol's storyline, and then pivot to Episode 7 which delivers a "Sol crushing" reveal

(I'll see myself out)

We recap and discuss both episodes along with the host of questions that each episode creates. We then take a look ahead to Episode 8 next week and try to figure out just how they plan to wrap the story up.

Buckle up and join us as we wade even deeper into the inconsistencies of The Acolyte!

We then close with coverage of Episode #5 'Night' whereby we get some of the most brutal violence to date in Star Wars. We find out who Smilo-Ren is and the ole twin switcheroo.
