Leave A Voice Memo, Review The Show, & Follow Us Here
    Intro:

We start the show by talking about how much we hate pleasantries.

    Main Discussion:

Today’s show is about how much we value morning routines. We start by discussing the origins of our routines and then progress into what our mornings look like now. As part of the discussion, we explore why waking up is easier for some people than others and how early morning routines are not for everyone.

Most morning routines are stressful and rushed. We explore ways to change this and set ourselves up for a better day. Peter and Gary have a similar approach whereas Sarah has a much different opinion on this topic.

We also discuss the challenges night owls face and explore some possible solutions for them.

    Action Items:

    • Prepare for your morning the night before
    • Create habits and structure for your mornings

060 | What Is Now | DIY Savings, Burning Fat, Avocado Secrets, China’s Gaming Laws, Weak Old People, & Decision Fatigue Oct 01, 2021
    Show notes

    Show Summary:

In today’s WIN, we discuss DIY Savings, Burning Fat, Avocado Secrets, China’s Gaming Laws, Weak Old People, & Decision Fatigue

Leave A Voice Memo, Review The Show, & Follow Us Here
    Introduction:

A quick hello and right into the nonsense.

    Main Show:

    Sarah’s W.I.N’s:

We discuss the 8 amazing secrets of avocados. Peter and I mock most of them due to the vagueness of the article. We also discuss Gary’s issue with this fruit!

Is decision fatigue a real thing? We discuss what this is and how to combat it.

    Peter’s W.I.N’s:

Peter is mad at an article that promotes exercise for “old, frail” people. We believe that even older people can lift heavy things and should.

A new study showed the strength training alone could help burn fat. A reminder that body composition matters more than the number on the scale!

    Gary’s W.I.N’s:

A woman wrote an article celebrating that she spends $725/mo on lawn care, home cleaning, and 3 days/week of prepaid meals. Gary disputes this article and does some math to show how this is a bad idea in most cases.

China has severely limited the hours/week that kids under 18 are allowed to game. Gary loves the idea behind it while noting that he does not want our government doing the same thing. We discuss kids and the detriments of gaming.

    Fan Feedback:

Denise leaves some constructive feedback for the team. She also thinks that Gary talks too much!

Win or Fail Mastermind Group Session:

    Peter:

Peter does not understand youth sports parents and politics. He is confused as to why he is so different from them all. We discuss the nature of youth sports today.

    Gary:

Gary clones his Friday “money classes” with his kids into “house class.” He went floor to floor around the house, explaining to his kids what and how things in the home work.

    Sarah:

Sarah’s has a fail. She has not been training for her half marathon, and it’s only a week away.
