She comes to the show looking for help with marketing, what additional services she should provide, and how to hire RNs who can take the IV infusion workload so she can focus on other services.
In our conversation, we touch on an important topic, as we've talked about in other episodes, the benefits of providing services that'll be a recurring income versus ones that are a one-time use, you have to listen to your current and potential clients and offer services that cover their needs especially if these services are recurrent and will turn your patients into long term customers.
Focussing on recurrent income and covering the needs of the clients in your area will ensure your business grows faster and you have satisfied customers.

We've talked about how marketing is one of the most important functions of a business, however, there are specific cases, like Aurora's, where marketing is not entirely necessary at first, her practice's been open for a short time but she has brought on patients through different means which in turn will save her a ton of money in marketing at this starting stage of the business. Word of mouth is a fantastic means of growing a business.

In this episode, we had a fabulous conversation with Jason, and we answered for him a lot of questions we don't get every day on the show, from the coverage and exclusions in your malpractice policy to how practicing responsibly and safely will keep the regulatory bodies out off your clinic, with a lot of interesting topics and info between.
This a great episode for those starting out or just about to start their own practice, you'll find a lot of pearls in this one.

Our conversation turned into a great start-up episode where we touched on some of the most important points every NP looking to start their own clinic needs to address. In Jill's case, the location and pricing were key, and we talked about how you should never invest your money into remodeling or fixing a space that you don't own, never spend a lot of money fixing up someone else's building, in regards to pricing study your market, your competitor's prices are a good reference to set your own, always deliver great care at a competitive price.

Episode 123: Investing in Your Business For Growth May 15, 2024

In our conversation we talked about how DPC can be very profitable if there's a need for it in your area, Shane and Taylor developed a system that works for them and they invested their earnings back into the business, marketing it and bringing in extra help to grow it. At first, you might not get a lot of profit in your business with this strategy, but you'll be sowing the seeds for a self-sustained always growing practice that can become extremely successful.

Episode 122: Navigate Opportunities Carefully May 08, 2024
    Show notes

Today we'll be talking to Kris, an FNP about to start her own practice where she'll focus on weight loss, IV therapy, and HRT, she would also like to implement functional medicine services at some point. Kris comes to the show looking for help on how to start, how to work smarter rather than harder, general start-up advice, and how to navigate new opportunities that are presented to her.
A very important lesson we take from this episode is that you have to navigate opportunities very carefully, a lot of times people who come to you offering business opportunities and collaborations are just after their own benefit by taking advantage of you, you have to analyze these people's motives and determine if it'll be a positive addition to your business or life in general, most times it's not gonna be and you have to learn to identify and avoid these people.

    Episode 121: Successful Women's Health Clinic May 01, 2024
    Show notes

Today we'll be talking to Peggy, a WHNP who owns and operates a Women's Health clinic where she focuses on general OB/GYN services, fertility treatment, IV infusion, therapy, and medical weight loss. The business is going fairly well and it has allowed Peggy to go full-time into her practice. She comes to the show looking for help on the process of hiring another provider and how to streamline her business so she's not working so much.
In our conversation we talk about the importance of diversifying yourself, Peggy's clinic is set on the best way possible for this kind of practice, she's working on a hybrid model where she accepts insurance but also provides cashed-based services that increase her revenue and pulls in more patients to her practice. Of course, a bigger client volume means you'll have less free time for yourself, that's the point where bringing someone in to help take care of the patient load is necessary, relegating work and automating some tasks in your business will lead towards true financial independence by building a fully functional clinic that's basically all just passive income for you.
