Cohost: Branden Lee #FIMM #Milehighnews Guests: Dr. Joseph Rosado Dr. Joseph Rosado, MD, is one of the world’s most respected medical authorities on cannabis as plant-based medicine. With over four decades of experience as a healthcare professional, he’s built a career anchored in the family tradition and driven by a desire to help his patients and community. assistant, then known as an orderly and began working in the medical field in 1978 at age 16. After high school, Dr. Rosado trained as an emergency medical technician, paramedic, and catheterization laboratory technician while working through college. A significant car accident led Dr. Rosado to the field of chiropractic. As a chiropractor, Dr. Rosado dedicated his practice to helping underserved communities, particularly those for whom English was a second language, ensuring that each patient received the highest quality of care that he could provide. Much more than a practitioner, Dr. Rosado became a friend and for many, their only healthcare provider. At the age of 35, Dr. Rosado entered medical school, quickly distinguishing him as a top student while working his way through school as a husband and father. In medical school, he studied marijuana and determined that potential health and wellness benefits could be extracted from the plant. In 2014, Dr. Rosado added his considerable professional expertise to the frontlines of Florida’s push for medical marijuana. One of the state’s first doctors advocating for medical cannabis, in 2016, Dr. Rosado also had the distinction of being the first Central Florida physician to recommend medical marijuana for an adult patient, as well as the first to recommend it for a patient under the age of 18. The Edge Show: How Can I Make The Food I Like Healthier? Feb 16, 2022

Show notes

The Wendy Love Edge Show does not dispense medical advice and all of your health choices are your own. Cohost: Branden Lee Guests: Dr. Egypt Iredia Dr. Egypt is a Plant-based Medical Doctor, Metaphysical wellness coach, Naturopathic physician, Poet, multi-passionate creative and, sacred self-care advocate. She believes that high vibration eating, movement, minimalism, slow living, and living a spiritual and intentional life. Are all-powerful healing forces. She makes healing practices accessible, and simple to incorporate into everyday life. Her mission is to empower people to live healthier, calmer, connected, and conscious lives. https://manifestingalchemy.com/ Michael Weinstein, The Dread Head Chef Chef Michael Weinstein. AKA Dread Head Chef. Chef Michael Weinstein has been a fixture on the culinary scene for over 20 years, and has worked at some of the finest restaurants in town, as well as appearing on national TV and in print. His love affair with food began with his father's garden and the fresh foods his mother and grandmother created using these vegetables and herbs. At a young age, he meticulously began copying recipes he saw on PBS cooking shows instead of watching Sesame Street and ended up years later in culinary school instead of heading off to medical school or practicing law like his other siblings. The idea for his Dessert Salsas was borne out of necessity, as he (of course) is the source of family holiday meal preparation, but his niece and nephew suffer from severe food allergies limiting many of the traditional offerings Michael was able to prepare. Knowing their propensity for all things sweet and dessert-like, Michael came up with the Dessert Salsas (after finding himself with an abundance of Strawberries), paired with sugar-dusted chips to step in as an end-of-meal substitute for the kids. An untouched cheesecake and lonely apple pie were a testament to the success of his creation, and he started his Dread Head Chef side hustle, developing a line of chips and dessert salsas that were sold in Whole Foods and Kroger. Michael has continued to develop his brand, as well as his awareness of the need to eat healthily. Seeing the potential of the medicinal qualities of cannabis and his love for said plant, the natural merging of the chef meets shaman has begun with his latest line of CBD Infused Dessert Salsas, Crackers, and Caramels, which are a subtle protest of the current state of edibles in the industry. Chef says, "The idea of this amazing medicine trapped in a drugstore Gummy Bear seems so counterintuitive that I couldn't stand it, and had to come up with my own natural way to introduce people to the benefits of CBD. I feel a whole lot better now!" The Dread Head Chef CBD Infused line launched this year, under the Rebel Dreads Corp brand umbrella, along with Bada Wellness, a delightful new topical and intimacy line containing CBD. https://www.rebeldreadscorp.com/brands/dread-head-chef-cbd-edibles-cbd-tinctures Musical Guest: Jonathan and His Stories More info lofuzz.band@gmail.com Cannabis Expert MD, Dr. Brian Nichol https://cannabisexpertmd.com/ Miss Teddi #FIMM @learnfromteddi Mile High News, Candis Dyer https://www.facebook.com/CannaCornerWithCandisDyer The Wendy Love Edge Show is written and created by Wendy Love Edge.
