Thankfulness is contagious and life-giving. A thankful heart, prepares the way for God.

So how do we remain thankful in the midst of hard seasons, when life feels broken and disappointing?

Lament and Thanksgiving can coexist.

You are invited to come to God as you are – with whatever is true about you in this moment.

So come, let us gather together around the table of our Lord, where honest conversation is always welcomed by the One who knows us best.

Let us express our lament… for we are hurting.

And let us remember and count the ways God has been faithful to show up in our life.

Thankfulness is the beginning of a holy and mysterious exchange.

As we give thanks, God returns a gift of JOY.

So find a quiet space, and let's settle in and meditate upon God's goodness.

Day 5 – GOD IS WITH ME

Psalm 23 is known as The Shepherd's Psalm. The Shepherd always has his eye on His sheep.

2020 has certainly led us through a valley of dark days. Yet God promises to remain close and lead us through tough times.

Scripture References:

Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I'll never be lonely, for you are near. Psalm 23:4 TPT

The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? My heart will not be afraid. Psalm 27:1 NLT
