The God Who Listens (Meditation Monday Series) Mar 01, 2021
    Show notes

The God Who Listens - Today we make space to sit with the Lord, becoming aware of His Presence. Silence helps us settle the external and internal noise and distractions in order to hear God more clearly. My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, James 1:19 NIV God tells us to "Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10 As we are silent before the Lord, we let go of words so we can embrace Christ at the center of our life. Meditation by Cindy L. Helton - Copyright 2021

God of Peace (Meditation Monday Series) Feb 22, 2021
    Show notes

This meditation focuses on the God of Peace.

Peace Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace: where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. I Thessalonians 5:23

God of Love (Meditation Monday Series) Feb 15, 2021
    Show notes

Join us as we meditate upon the attribute of God's great love.

Meet us in these moments O God…

    Quiet our hearts.

    Let us become aware of our great need for you;

And for Your great love for us.

Your love invaded the world through your beloved Son.

In Christ we find Your love and acceptance.

"God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us!" - 1 John 4:9-10

God of Creation (Meditation Monday Series) Feb 08, 2021
    Show notes

"In the beginning…God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1

As we meditate upon the Names and attributes of God, we see the beauty and AWE in the multi-faceted nature of who God is. He speaks to us through His names.

The practice of Christian meditation, is a sacred practice allowing us space to reflect on God's Word as we listen for His holy whispers.

The first name of God in the Bible is Creator. The book of Genesis is a poetic song of creation. God spoke, and it came to be.

"God is forever seeking to Speak Himself out to His creation… He is by nature continuously articulate. He fills the world with His speaking Voice." A. W. Tozer

    GOD OF BLESSINGS

The Bible teaches us that all blessings come from God. When we praise God and thank Him for our blessings, we affirm that He is the One from whom all blessings flow. The discipline of praise helps us live in the intimacy of God's Presence.

Doxology – Written by Thomas Ken, 1674 (Performed by artist J.Lauren)

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow Praise Him, all creatures here below Praise Him, above the heavenly host Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost Amen.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ." Ephesians 1:3 NIV

"Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. I will praise the Lord all my life: I will sing praise to my God as long as I live." Psalm 146:1-2 NIV

    GOD OF HOPE

As we settle into a new year, let us meditate upon these words from the prophet Isaiah…Those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength. Isaiah 40:31NLT

Where are you placing your hope?

Your circumstances may not have changed with the turning of the calendar. You may be feeling anxious that life seems out of control.

Friends, God is in control. He never changes with circumstances.

He always offers us fresh hope.

With open hands, join us as we let go of the things that weigh us down so we can take hold of Christ.
