Strategies to Develop Confidence in Your Life Aug 29, 2022
    Show notes

Let's talk today abotu confidence and why it is so important to helping you create your best life. But first, here is the Quote of the Day...

If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life – Marcus Garvey Confidence is a belief in oneself, the conviction that one has the ability to meet life's challenges and to succeed—and the willingness to act accordingly. Being confident requires a realistic sense of one’s capabilities and feeling secure in that knowledge. Why is it important? Being confident helps you make instant connections and build relationships and can also help you effectively handle conflict Projecting confidence helps people gain credibility, make a strong first impression, deal with pressure, and tackle personal and professional challenges. It’s also an attractive trait, as confidence helps put others at ease. 6 Reasons which prevent you from being more confident
    1. Limiting Beliefs- What you do tell yourself eventually determines your confidence level
    2. Expectations-Over-expectation always leads to under-performance
    3. Social Circle- If you are in the company of negative thinkers then, it won’t be long before it starts rubbing on you.
    4. Past Failures- Your past failures keep making you fail- Stop replaying Failures
    5. Lack of Knowledge- uncertainty and incompetence creates fear and lack of confidence.
    6. The Unknown-Fear of the unknown is a silent killer of your confidence
Principles of how to be Confident If you want to learn how to build confidence, you must be willing to change your state. Your state is essentially your mood at any given time of day. Change your state to CREATE Confidence.
    • Body Language- you body posture affects you emotionally and mentally
    • Positivity- your attitude and perspective becomes subconscious
    • Emotional Control- identify and key emotions and create discipline
    • Growth Mindset- know that you can handle anything, because you always have
    • Stay inside your Unique Talents and Abilities
Interestingly, once you start projecting confidence and taking actions accordingly, your brain will also reprogram, and you will truly become more confident!

5 Steps to Overcome What You Fear Aug 26, 2022
    Show notes

5 Keys to Overcome Failure We all fail, but what many people don’t realize is that failing is a key ingredient of success. Anyone who's ever succeeded has also failed many times before they were successful! So how do you overcome your failures on your way to success? Here are 5 keys to overcoming failure. 1. Learn From Your Mistakes and Failures. Learning to ride a bike is not an easy task. You will fall off 100 times before you succeed in your attempt, but it's worth all of the hard work because once that first pedal turns smoothly with no input from yourself (or any other force), nothing can stop someone who knows how cool they are at riding! Action Step: Write down the top five things that you learned from your last mistake or failure. 2. Don’t Dwell on It. Now that you have learned something from your mistake, move on. Don’t dwell on your past. You can’t tell where you are going if you are looking backward. Also, dwelling on your past failures will keep you in prison right where you are. Action Step: Read what you have written down in Key 1 (The 5 Things You Learned). 3. Don’t Be Afraid to Try Again. The fear from your last failure shouldn't stop you. You just need to learn how again and keep at it until you succeed! So many people give up when they fail, but that's because their mindset is all focused on the bad times. Your greatness awaits within those moments where things go wrong - now is a great time for new beginnings as long as we have faith in ourselves Action Step: Take what you have learned and try it again now that you are better prepared 4. Surround Yourself with Positive People. No matter what it is that you are trying to achieve, surround yourself with successful people that have done what you want to do. One of the best ways to overcome failure is to learn how other people just like you overcame failure. This will not only encourage you but give you proof that it can be done. Action Step: Find a person or a group of people who are successful and get around them as soon as possible. 5. Realizing Failure is Part of the Learning Curve. Failure and mistakes aren’t fun but they are what help us learn to be great at whatever it is we are trying to achieve. “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” Action Step: Think back to a time when you succeeded. Then think how many times you failed or made mistakes to get to that success. Now that you have the 5 Keys to Overcoming Failure, go out there and just do it! You have a seed of greatness inside of you. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you from reaching your full potential in life. The Key to Perseverence Aug 24, 2022
    Show notes

Ever have a time in your life when an obstacle was in front of you, and you had to avoid it to keep going? Did you want to just throw in the towel and give up? This is when perseverance comes into play. A true leader will take any obstacle and find an innovative way to get through it. Definition of Perseverance Perseverance is a continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition. So what happens when you FAIL rather than just run into an obstacle...Well you approach FAILURE with perseverance. HOW?....you try to see it as a learning experience. “Through perseverance, many people win success out of what seemed destined to be a certain failure” (Benjamin Disraeli) Why is having perseverance through failure important?

    • Perseverance helps carry you through failures and helps you to adapt.
    • If you fail, that's when the learning begins- from your failures is the means of figuring out what will work for future endeavors.
    • You start learning from your failures you become a risk-taker and as time passes you develop a better understanding of how to handle the risk factor.
    • People start to when know how to handle risk and failure, and they become closer to achieving success.
Here are four important Aspects of Perseverance to keep in mind
    1. Self-Awareness: Notice when you look for excuses, rather than truth, are you letting fear or laziness cause you to quit or procrastinate? If honestly watching yourself is difficult, explain your reasoning to a friend. Close friends may be more likely than you to know when you're rationalizing.
    2. Costs and Benefits: To wisely persevere, you need to see the costs and benefits of what you are doing. You might need to pivot.
    3. Motivation: Once you've made a decision, and you're sure you made it for the right reason, you have to motivate yourself. Perseverance requires that you re-motivate yourself. Write down goals, do daily affirmations, and do whatever else you have to do.
    4. Make it a Habit: is the most powerful secret to success. Practice watching yourself make self-awareness a habit. Practice analyzing costs and benefits objectively, and practice motivating yourself. If what you are doing doesn't work, go read up on other techniques and try something else. That's perseverance.
"The only way to persevere is to start" - Tony Robbins So, what are you waiting for? Go out there and start working on your goals! Having perseverance is key to success. It is something that will help you get through the tough times, and it is important to have if you want to learn from your failures. By developing a habit of perseverance, you will be able to achieve anything you set your mind to. • What do you want them to think or do differently as a result of hearing you speak?
Write it Out One of the best ways to ensure that your presentation is well-organized and flows smoothly is to write it out.
    • This doesn't mean that you need to memorize every word but having a general outline will help to keep you on track.

    • As a speaker, it is important that you see the faces of your audience. It makes a difference.

    • Try to pause when emphasizing points. This will help to make your presentation smoother and more polished.
    • The key is to know your subject and what you want to say.
    • Practice, practice, practice.
Impact Your Audience Through Personal Stories Personal Stories will help you to engage your audience, deliver a more entertaining presentation, and help people to retain your message better. By delivering key points through a story, you can help people to relate and apply the message you are communicating. Closing your Presentation When you're closing your presentation...
    • Be sure to review the main points that you want your audience to remember.

This will Allow you to control your emotions rather than allowing them to control you. Here are some of the most common emotions that can hold us back... 1. Anger Anger is a powerful emotion. If it isn’t handled appropriately, it may have destructive effects on your future. Goal should be for You to let go of your anger. Imagine yourself throwing it away. Try to Turn your anger into positive motivation...but how?
    • Identify and understand why your angry.
    • Come up with a different way of looking at the situation that will not make you angry. FILTER is Key
    • Commit yourself to try to react differently to the situations that have made you angry the next time it happens.
    2. Revenge Movies often portray the act of revenge as a way of gaining closure after a wrong. But, revenge has the opposite effect...it damages your life. You find it difficult to enjoy things that you once found pleasurable. It’s easy to be distracted and not feel present when obsessing about getting back at someone. It hijacks your life to the point where you shut out everything else. Here is some sound advice...Living a good life is the best form of revenge. Once they acknowledge they cannot ruin your happiness, they lose their power. The best revenge is Massive Success!! 3. Sadness The truth about sadness is that it's more draining than anger. It'll give you an emptiness deep inside, one which can't be filled by anything except time. Time does heals, but if the sadness seems to linger, you must consciously work on getting over it. Here are a few suggestions to help you move past time you are sad or down..."after you feel through it"
    • Commit to practicing Gratitude, Acceptance, and Acts of Happiness
    • Commit to making your well-being your top priority in your life.
    • Eliminate the phrase- I will be happy when... learn to be happy now.
    • Be careful that you don’t equate happiness with momentary pleasure.
    4. Resentment Have you ever noticed how resentment can stop you from living your dreams? It's like a poison that eats away at your happiness and sense of purpose and prevents us from reaching our full potential. Resentment is often rooted in our past, in failed relationships, or in unmet expectations. We may even harbor resentment towards ourselves, for not being good enough or for not achieving our goals. It's important to understand that resentment is a normal emotion and it's okay to feel it occasionally. Find healthy ways to deal with this emotion so that you can live your best lives.
    • Identify... Why are you feeling resentful? What situation triggered these emotions? Once you identify the source of your resentment, you can begin to work through it.
    • Forgive yourself or the other person involved and start to let go of the past.
    • Practice Gratitude. Focus on all the good things in your life, no matter how small they may seem.
When you focus on abundance rather than lack, you open yourself up to limitless possibilities. 5. Guilt Guilt is an emotion that many people have felt at some point in their life. The problem is that it can seriously affect your self-esteem, delay success, and keep us focused on the things that really don’t matter. Guilt is a destructive emotion, but it can be overcome. Personal growth is about expanding our capacity to love and be loved....and that included loving yourself.
    • Put these feelings in a perspective that is positive rather than negative and have them serve a purpose of motivation.
    • Do not let those feelings consume your life, they no longer serve any function in your life today!
    • It takes a lot of practice and deliberate re-thinking to change a pattern of guilt, so be patient with yourself:
It's important to understand where these 5 emotions come from and how to deal with them in a healthy way. Forgiveness, gratitude, and personal growth are key to moving past these 5 emotions. No longer allow negative emotions to control your life. You have the power to choose how you want to feel. Choose forgiveness, gratitude, and personal growth over resentment and negativity. Live your dreams and create an abundant life that you love! Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done Book Summary Aug 16, 2022
    Show notes

Book Summary: Execution by Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan

In "Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done", Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan provide a framework for business leaders to achieve results. They argue that execution is not just about having a good strategy, but also about having the right people in place and creating an environment where they can be successful.

The authors offer a three-part framework for execution, which includes setting clear goals, aligning people and resources behind those goals, and holding people accountable for results. They also provide tools and techniques for each of these components.

    Goal setting:

The authors suggest that goals should be SMART: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. They also recommend setting goals at multiple levels, from the overall company down to individuals.

    Aligning people and resources:

The authors argue that alignment starts with understanding what each person's strengths and weaknesses are. Once this is clear, leaders can assign tasks and roles accordingly. They also recommend creating "accountability maps" to make sure that everyone understands who is responsible for what.

    Holding people accountable:

The authors argue that accountability is essential for execution. To hold people accountable, they suggest setting clear expectations, providing feedback regularly, and using rewards and punishments appropriately.

Major Building Block of Execution is Leadership.

7 essential behaviors of a leader

    1. The first essential behavior a leader needs it to know the people and the business. Understanding your people and business is critical to truly executing on priorities in any business.
    2. A Leader also must insist on Realism. Rather than avoiding the truth a great leader needs to embrace the truth. This requires a leader to identify and deal with weaknesses as well as the current influence of the markets.
    3. Setting clear goals and priorities is also a critical element of leadership. People and organizations cannot execute if the direction of the company isn't clear. Don’t overcomplicate things with too many goals or priorities, and make sure that communication is clear and simple.
    4. You've heard the phrase the "fortune is in the followup", and leadership absolutely requires you to follow through. Being someone that always follows through is important for a leader, it means that people will believe what you say and take you seriously. Your actions speak much louder than your words.
    5. The fifth behaviour a leader must have is the ability to reward the doers...the people that are getting things done. The goal is to drive progress and "execution", so its important to reward that behavior in the people as they do it.
    6. Expanding the capabilities of an organization and its people is a key element of a leader. Its important for people feel like they are "growing" inside a company. Plus, you will develop and expand relationships, networks and opportunities when you invest in growing people.
    7. Leaders know themselves and their capabilities. They know their own strengths and their own weaknesses. Accepting and acknowledging your own weaknesses and working to improve these is a great trait for a leader. You are a much more influential and productive leader when you are aware of the talents and resources you have, and when you understand your weaknesses and challenges that you must overcome.

Thank you so much for joining the Daily Mastermind Today. Please share this with someone you feel might benefit from the content.

    To Create Work-Life Balance Aug 15, 2022
    Show notes

    Creating a Better Work-Life Balance

The workday can be a grind. But it doesn't have to be! By making a few small changes, you can boost your productivity, reduce stress, and set yourself up for success.

When you are out of balance, you may find yourself feeling stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed. You may also find it difficult to enjoy your work or meet your goals. Work-life balance is not about working less or taking more time off. It's about finding a way to work smarter so you can have more time and energy for the things that are most important to you. It's about taking control of your schedule and making choices that align with your values. Work-life balance is a journey, not a destination.

There is no "perfect" balance that you can achieve once and for all. Instead, work-life balance is something you strive for each day. The goal is to find a way to work that meets your needs and allows you to live the life you want. Work-life balance requires setting priorities and making choices. It's about knowing what's most important to you and making sure that your work fits into that picture. Work-life balance is different for everyone. There is no one-size-fits-all solution to work-life balance. What matters most is that you find a way to make it work for you.

Here are 7 simple tips to get you started

    Set priorities

Part of being organized is taking a moment to think about what your priorities are for the day. What are the most important tasks you need to complete? Put them at the top of your list and work on them first. If you constantly work work work work work work, you're not going to have time to focus on your personal growth. And what's the point of working if you're not growing as a person? You need to set priorities in your life and make sure that you're devoting enough time to the things that are most important to you.

    Be mindful of your time

Time management is an important skill in any work setting. Time is one of the most precious commodities we have. It's the one thing we can never get back once it's gone. That's why it's so important to be mindful of how we use our time. Every moment is an opportunity to grow and expand as a person. Unfortunately, many people get caught up in the rat race of work and forget to focus on their personal growth. They become so consumed with their career that they neglect their health, relationships, and hobbies. It's important to strike a balance between work and the rest of your life. Otherwise, you'll end up missing out on some of the most important things in life.

    Stay positive

A positive attitude is key to maintaining motivation and seeing challenges as opportunities. If you find yourself getting stressed or negative, take a deep breath and remind yourself of your goals. Of course, this is easier said than done. When you're feeling overwhelmed by your to-do list, it's easy to give in to negative thinking. However, if you can find a way to stay positive, you'll be better able to manage your stress and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

    • Focus on the things that are going right in your life, rather than dwelling on the things that are going wrong.
    • Find humor in the situation. If you can laugh at yourself and the situation, you'll be less likely to get bogged down by negativity.
    • Try to take a step back from the situation and see it from a different perspective. Often, when we're in the middle of a problem, it's hard to see the forest for the trees.

Whatever method you choose, staying positive is essential for maintaining a work-life balance that works for you.

    Take breaks

It's no secret that we live in a world that is increasingly driven by work. We are expected to be available at all hours of the day, and our work lives often end up spilling over into our personal lives. This can lead to feelings of burnout and stress, and it can have a negative impact on our physical and mental health. One way to combat this is to make sure that we take breaks. It's important to step away from work periodically, even if it's just for a few minutes. This will help us to recharge and refocus, and it will allow us to come back to work with fresh energy.

Taking breaks also allows us to pursue other interests and hobbies, which can help us to maintain a work-life balance. When we invest in our personal growth, we are less likely to feel overwhelmed by work. So next time you're feeling stressed, take a break! Step away from your work, take some deep breaths, and remind yourself that you deserve to take care of yourself. You'll be surprised how much of a difference it makes.

    Avoid distractions

For many people, creating a work-life balance is a challenge. They feel like they're constantly being pulled in different directions, and they can never really focus on any one thing. But here's the thing: work-life balance isn't about finding more hours in the day. It's about making the most of the time you have and being intentional about how you spend your energy. One way to do this is to avoid distractions. Too often, we allow ourselves to be pulled away from what we're doing by things that don't really matter. By avoiding distractions, you can stay focused on what's important and make the most of your time.

So how do you avoid distractions? Start by identifying the things that tend to pull you away from what you're doing. Maybe it's your phone, social media, or email. Once you know what your distractions are, make a conscious effort to avoid them. Turn off your phone or log out of social media when you're trying to work. Set aside specific times for checking email so that it doesn't become a constant interruption. When you make a conscious effort to avoid distractions, you'll find that you have more time and energy for the things that matter most to you. And that's how you create a work-life balance.

    Delegate and build a team

One way to promote work-life balance is to delegate work and build a team to help shoulder the load. By delegating work, you can free up time for yourself and focus on other areas of your life. In addition, by building a team, you can create a support system that can help you handle work-related stress. When work-life balance is maintained, it can lead to personal growth and development. As a result, delegating work and building a team are two effective ways to promote work-life balance.

    Invest in yourself

One of the most important things you can do for yourself is to invest in your personal growth. When you work on creating a work-life balance, it's not just about finding time for yourself or taking care of your responsibilities; it's also about growing as a person. When you invest in your personal growth, you're investing in your future. It's an investment that will pay off in many different ways. You're working on creating a foundation that will support you for the rest of your life. It's an investment that will pay off in many different ways.

Tony Robbins suggests that if we want to achieve success and achieve our goals, we should make sure that we are constantly investing first and foremost among these investments should be ourselves because if we don't have a foundation, our lives will easily crumble under pressure and stress achieved by constantly giving without Investing into our health and well-being physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Only when we have fulfilled these needs can we hope to give more than what is required from us instead of depleting our resources until there is nothing left.

If you're not happy with the current state of your work-life balance, it's time to take matters into your own hands and invest in yourself. By taking steps to improve yourself, you can create a work-life balance that works for you and helps you achieve your goals. Whether it's taking a course, attending a seminar, or reading a self-help book, investing in yourself is one of the best things you can do to achieve a work-life balance. So don't wait - start investing in yourself today!

When it comes to creating a work-life balance, it's important to set priorities and be mindful of your time. Stay positive and take breaks when needed. Avoid distractions by identifying them and making a conscious effort to avoid them. Delegate work and build a team to help you shoulder the load. And finally, invest in yourself. By taking these steps, you can create a work-life balance that works for you and helps you achieve your goals.
