    Mini-sode: "Help! I'm stuck at X following number!" Oct 14, 2021
    Show notes

Have you ever felt stuck at a following number before? Us too! In today’s mini-sode we’re going to be sharing a few tips on shifting your perspective around feeling stuck. Just because you aren’t growing with a following number, doesn’t mean you aren’t growing.
Tip 1: Reflect on your GOALS.

One way to shift and pivot your mindset is to take a step back and reflect on your goals.

    · Did you lay out a goal at the beginning of the year to expand and diversify your brand by X amount?

    · Have you made it a goal to develop a new platform (like TikTok, Pinterest, or your own podcast)?

    · How are you doing compared to your goal(s) so far?

It’s important to reflect on your goals because you might find that you are experiencing growth in other platforms and that your total audience size is actually growing.
Tip 2: Do a CONTENT AUDIT.

    · Are you missing creating content for a specific niche or content pillar?

    · Is your audience resonating with who are and what content you’re creating?

    · Do you even know what type of content your audience is responding to?

Depending on your content audit findings, I’d recommend:

    · Either clarifying your target audience or clarifying your content and your brand.

    · Identifying what content works best for your audience and doubling down on that type of content.

How to Plan a Month's Worth of Content in Advance Oct 12, 2021
    Show notes

Today, we’re going to talk about how you can plan a month’s worth of content in advance! So if you’re a busy content creator and are wanting to get ahead on your content, this podcast episode is for you.
Step #1: Establish your content pillars

A content pillar (or niche) is a specific topic or segment you create content around. And surprise! You can have more than one content pillar.

The Content Creatives Podcast mission statement is to: empower creatives to DISCOVER, GROW, AND OWN their brand. Our content pillars break down the lifecycle of aspiring influencers and creatives:

    • Discover: stories and tips to help other creatives figure out who they are and how to get started
    • Grow: advice on learning, implementing strategy, and creating on each platform (Instagram, TikTok, blogging, etc) as well as learning how to monetize your influence
    • Own their brand: encouraging others to be confident in who they are, take their brand to the next level, and expand their reach

Step #2: Determine how many times per week you want to post

Figuring out a good posting schedule is paramount to planning content in advance! Knowing this number helps you build your outline (in the next step) and having a consistent posting schedule can help with your audience expectations and retention.

Here are some questions to ask yourself when determining how many times per week (on average) you'd like to post:

    • What are my content pillars, and how many do I have?
    • Do I want to speak to every content pillar every week?
    • How much time goes into each post (including planning the photos, taking them, editing, writing the copy, posting, and engaging)?

Tune in to hear the rest of the tips!

Mini-sode: How are you motivated? + Breaking Down Motivation Types Oct 07, 2021
    Show notes

Today, we’re going to talk about intrinsic vs. extrinsic motivation and 6 different motivation types. If you’re a content creator or influencer whose looking for more motivation in life, understanding how you’re motivated can help you.
    INTRINSIC MOTIVATION:

According to American Psychology Association (APA), intrinsic motivations are linked to our feelings. It’s an incentive to engage or participate in an activity that derives from pleasure in the activity itself.

    · You do things because it’s personally rewarding to you. You plan, pursue, and act on things because you see the benefits of your actions.
    EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION:

According American Psychology Association (APA), you do things to either earn a reward or avoid a punishment. Your actions are driven by consequences.

    · Example: Turning your homework in on time so you get a good grade and aren’t penalized for a late turn in.

The truth is we are all intrinsically and extrinsically motivated in the different aspects of our lives. Everyone is motivated differently and if you are trying to set goals and achieve them, it helps to know how to motivated yourself.
We share 6 motivation types in this conversation!
