Countdown #463

Way back in Episode 19* of the show - sometime during the winter months of 2015 - the boys did their first ever countdown focused on an a single actor. That actor has affectionately become known as T to the C among the Countdown Listener Community, but is otherwise referred to as one Tom Cruise.

It felt only natural then that if there was any actor that the show would re-do a countdown on, it had to be T to the C, that Hollywood A-Lister who can champion Scientology and jump on as many Oprah couches as he wants, as long as he continues making quality films.

So join Wayne in that heady place known as Man-Crush Land, as The Countdown continues ... *Not Episode 4 as Paul suggests during the recording. Ignore his blather!

Bonus Ep: Terrifier and Mama Mia! reviews Feb 06, 2024

Show notes

Way back in May of 2023, many of our fine Patrons tuned in to watch or listen to our climatic guest spot on the Livestream for the Cure, as hosted by Nick, Dan and Gerald. During that spot, to raise money for the fight against cancer, we pledged to watch horrendous films that you chose for us. And being the wonderfully, generous people you are, you supported the cause. Those films that we pledged to view were in Wayne's case, Terrifier (2016), and in Paul's, Mama Mia! (2008). This is where we honour that pledge and you get to hear us suffer in the name of charity! Thank you for your support that day, and now enjoy the fruits of that support while Paul is (hopefully) skiing down some Japanese mountains. Force of Nature: The Dry 2 review Jan 30, 2024

Show notes

The boys got along to their first advanced screening of the year and it was the big sequel to the massive Australian hit, The Dry, starring Eric Bana.

In this one, Detective Aaron Falk returns to help with a disappearance of someone he has a connection with, while an event from his past will help him solve the case. It's better than that synopsis sounds, but does it hold a candle to the original? Find out before its official release date on Feb 8th, as The Countdown continues ... Time Stamps: Force of Nature NON-SPOILER Review: 0:00 - 8:17 Force of Nature SPOILER-FILLED Discussion: 8:17 - 18:42
