    The CEO Sage

You’re vitally important and completely invisible. You’re performing in what you once dreamed. The thing you built to free you has become the thing you’re trapped inside.

You’ve built something real. A business that works. A reputation that precedes you. By every measure, you’re succeeding.
And something is wrong that you can’t quite name.

You’ve tried the frameworks. You’ve bought the courses. You’ve followed the gurus. And on some level you know that none of it is going to give you what you’re actually looking for, because what you’re actually looking for is yourself.

This is The CEO Sage—a podcast for the woman who is ready to stop looking outside herself for the answer.

Kris Plachy doesn’t offer you recipes or tactics or the “real way” to scale your business. She offers you something more rare: permission to listen to what you already know. In intimate, unflinching conversations, she names the truths you’ve been waiting to hear aloud. That your wisdom matters more than the strategy. That your self-trust is the asset worth protecting. That what feels like failure might actually be an invitation to something better.

If you’ve achieved the success everyone told you to want and discovered it wasn’t what you were looking for, this is for you. If you know something needs to change but can’t see the path, this is for you. If you’re ready to stop performing and start revealing—to yourself first, then to the world—this is for you.

The CEO Sage. Where the work of becoming begins with the work of remembering who you already are.

Intentional Leadership Sustaining Focus for Female Founder Success | E144 Jan 15, 2024
    Show notes

In this episode of Leadership is Feminine, Kris Plachy dives into the power of intentionality in achieving our goals and becoming effective leaders. She emphasizes the importance of being intentional about our actions and decisions, especially when it comes to leadership and building successful teams.

Kris discusses how many entrepreneurs excel at learning new skills and strategies to grow their businesses but often struggle when it comes to applying these same strategies for leading their teams. She encourages listeners to reassess their priorities and focus on the core reasons behind their goals, rather than simply making a list of tasks to complete.

Throughout the episode, Kris shares personal insights into her new year's goals, particularly in prioritizing self-care, and how she is enacting short sprints in order to achieve her desired outcomes. And that by focusing on just a few small tasks, it not only simplifies goal-setting, but also increases productivity and energy, enabling individuals to focus on other important areas of their lives.

You can't create an intentional future by continuing to take unintentional action. And it's not enough to say you want something. We have to design the framework that gets you what you want.

    Key Takeaways From This Episode
    1. Importance of Intentionality: The power of setting intentions, especially during the start of the year
    2. What It Means to Create Intentional Action: Being intentional requires confronting truths, making commitments, and taking steps
    3. Avoid "Winging It" in Leadership: Intentional leadership is crucial for the success of a business, much like the intentional learning and efforts put into other business aspects
    4. Overcommitting to Goals: Focusing on a few key areas at a time can be more effective than setting too many resolutions, and trying to do them all at the same time
    5. Goals Are Achieved Through Frameworks: Go beyond surface-level intentions, and set yourself up for success by creating a systematic approach for achieving desired outcomes
    6. Shifting Away From Willpower: Reaching goals is not merely about willpower, but about maintaining intentional actions that align with the desired destination

Hello 2024! Start Your New Chapter with These Thoughtful Questions | E142 Jan 01, 2024
    Show notes

In this New Year episode of Leadership is Feminine, Kris Plachy takes us on a journey of self-reflection and goal setting. With the turn of the year, Kris encourages listeners to treat this podcast as their own mini retreat, prompting them to reflect on the past year and set intentions for the year ahead.

Kris emphasizes the importance of journaling and introspection, guiding listeners through a series of thought-provoking questions to help them evaluate their experiences from the past year and envision their aspirations for the coming year. She invites her audience to consider who they've become in the previous year and how this growth influences the individual they aim to be in the new year.

The episode delves into the concept of "game film review," likening life to a series of moments and decisions that require analysis and introspection without personal judgment—more of an examination and learning experience. Kris shares her perspective on setting short-term goals or "sprints," as a strategy for increased focus and achievement. She also shares her process of setting goals and how she plans to empower female leaders in order to help them reach their goals.

I think that we need to remember that a year is not a series of perfectly achieved goals. The year is really just a series of moments, and minutes. Every minute, every moment, we have a new opportunity to choose again. And so rather than doing this the way that everybody else does it, which is, 'These are my big things I'm going to achieve in 2024', I want you to really think more about 'Who am I becoming? Who, when I get to the end of the year, do I want to meet in myself?'

    Key Takeaways from this Episode:
    1. New Year's Reflection: Encourages listeners to reflect on the past year and set intentions for the coming year, and emphasizes the value of a fresh start

    2. Review of 2023: Listeners are encouraged to review the past year and objectively analyze actions, decisions, setbacks, and achievements- focusing on growth rather than personal judgment.

    3. Intention Setting for 2024: A series of questions to help listeners set intentions for the new year. These questions cover thoughts and feelings about 2024, desired relationships, self-investment, personal and business growth

    4. Sprints for Goal Setting: Understanding the value of using short-term sprints in goal-setting in order to focus on what is achievable, and learn how to check-in and stay consistent

    5. Eliminating "Hangover Wants": Ensuring that listener's goals and desires align with their current selves, and that they aren't outdated aspirations that no longer resonate.

    6. Future Self Reflection: Connect with their future selves in order to guide present actions toward the envisioned future.
