The C.O.W.S. Dr. Vanessa Grubbs: The Harvest of Black Organs Jul 31, 2017
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr. Vanessa Grubbs. A professor at the University of California San Francisco department of medicine, Dr. Grubbs is a kidney specialist with a medical degree from Duke University. Not limited to being a medical doctor, black mother and wife, Dr. Grubbs moonlights as a creative non-fiction writer. Weeks ago, she visited Seattle, Washington to discuss her new book, Hundreds of Interlaced Fingers: A Kidney Doctor's Search for the Perfect Match. Grubbs describes the romance between she and her now-husband, Richard. He suffered from kidney failure when they first met, and witnessing his aguish with dialysis treatment and shabby care from White doctors helped the Grubbs better understand how racism decimates black patients. She's written about racism and organ transplants for years. However, when having out in Seattle, she confessed that she had "planned not to talk about racism." In fact, Grubbs called Gus "militant" for asking her to compare her work to the scholarship of Harriet A. Washington and Rebecca Skloot. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

    The C.O.W.S. Compensatory Call-In 07/29/17 Jul 29, 2017
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We'll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS President Donald J. Trump took to twitter to announce that "transgender people" will be prohibited from serving in the military. The New York Times reports this move aims to resolve breach between Whites regarding whether "taxpayer money should pay for gender transition and hormone therapy for transgender service members." Race Soldiers are wisely using this controversy to advance conflation between "gay rights" and white supremacy. Former First Lady Michelle Obama opened up to a Colorado audience about a snippet of the racist abuse she and her family experienced while in the White House. ""Knowing that after eight years of working really hard for this country, there are still people who wonâ??t see me for what I am because of my skin color," said Mrs. Obama. Whites in Minneapolis widely circulated and praised images of Philando Castile's mother, Valerie, warmly embracing the Australian relatives of Justine Damond, who was killed this summer by Minnesota police. And with a masterstroke of racial showcasing, HBO spotlighted a group of black producers to defuse charges that their new show, which dramatizes a Confederate triumph in the Civil War, is not racist. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943# The C.O.W.S. archives: http://tiny.cc/76f6p

The C.O.W.S. THE WRETCHED OF THE EARTH Part 1 Jul 28, 2017
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the premeir study session on Frantz Fanon's 1961 favorite, The Wretched of the Earth. Born in Martinique in 1925, Fanon became a globally renown psychiatrist and committed much of his time and energy to obtaining Algerian independence from French colonial domination. He also wrote Black Skin, White Mask, which is a psychoanalysis of the perversions and neurosis of sexual activity between Whites and non-white people. Importantly, Fanon himself married a White woman. The writer and psychiatrist died from leukemia the same year The Wretched of the Earth was published. Fanon's last work is widely viewed as an "indictment of the violence and savagery of colonialism" against non-white people world wide. The book examines the violence necessary to maintain a global empire of racism and the merits of counter-violence as means of permanently resolution. Large numbers of Whites heap praise on Fanon's work, and a number of university classes include this book on their syllabus. We'll question why this work appeals to many suspected Race Soldiers. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS While many spent the week denouncing controversial crooner R. Kelly over allegedly holding young girls in a cult, Seattle Mayor Ed Murray remains in office after the local paper revealed Oregon social services found he had sexual molested a black foster child in the 1980's. Murray says he won't step down, and the big city mayor is facing no criminal charges. Speaking of convicts, Orenthal James Simpson was granted parole for his 2008 Nevada robbery conviction. He could be released later this year. Like "the Juice," another celebrated black person on the other side of the planet was lauded this week. South Africa held Mandela Day to praise the late Madiba's years of labor against apartheid/ White Supremacy. 6 African teens attending a robotics competition in Washington D.C. have been reported missing . Contrary to the outpouring of sympathy for reserved for missing white gals, these brilliant black teens are already being accused of engineering their own disappearance. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943# The C.O.W.S. archives: http://tiny.cc/76f6p

The C.O.W.S. Gil Scott-Heron THE LAST HOLIDAY Part 7 (Conclusion) Jul 21, 2017
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the seventh and final study session on Gil Scott-Heron's autobiography, The Last Holiday. A poet, author, musician and victim of White Supremacy, Scott-Heron died in 2011, one year before this text was published. He wrote and performed music that valued black lives and examined how the System of White Supremacy devastates black people. Legendary selections like "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised"  and "Whitey on the Moon" encourage many to credit Scott-Heron as being a hip-hop music pioneer. Last week's segment described how Scott-Heron joined Stevie Wonder for the 1980 "Hotter Than July Tour." Wonder used the concerts to boost momentum to establish a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There was a vague description of Stevie Wonder stopping the Boston show to discuss the city's history of terrorizing black people. This was the same time period when Ronald Reagan was selected president. Gil described shock and disbelief over Reagan's triumph that reminded several readers of the 2016 election of the current U.S. president. Drugs and alcohol seem constant throughout most of the book and Scott-Heron's life. This week, Gus recommends listers closely scrutinize the description of John Lennon's death. We'll contrast this memoir to other biographies we've covered on the book club - Maya Angelou, Assata Shakur, Malcolm X. The C.O.W.S. Global Sunday Talk On Racism 07/16/17 Jul 16, 2017
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts our monthly Global Sunday Talk On Racism. This broadcast is specifically egineered to inspire participation from Victims of Racism outside the United States and/or non-white people who are not able to call during our normal broadcast time. Last month, our black British participants shared timely analysis about the Grenfell Tower Fire, where more than 75 people died. In the subsequent weeks, Grenfell residents reported being stranded since the blaze. Additionally, a multitude of other British high-rises were found to be vulnerable to fire, causing thousands of residents to be forced from their houses while safety repairs are being conducted. Also in the United Kingdom, MP Diane Abbott attracted mamoth attention by reporting that she's routinely targeted by white terrorist attacks - including being daily branded a nigger. Fellow politician, Anne Marie Morris was suspended for her use of the phrase "nigger in the woodpile." #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE: 564943# The C.O.W.S. archives: http://tiny.cc/76f6p

#ANTIBLACKNESS The state of New Jersey stopped to remember the 1967 "race riots" that roiled Newark and changed the development and demographics of the town. Incredibly, the police shooting of a Black citizen sparked the conflict fifty years ago. Speaking of race soldiers, in 2014, Chicago's Police Sgt. George Granias assaulted a Black female who had been arrested. Apparently, when not bludgeoning unarmed citizens who've not been conivcted, Sgt. Granias owns a litany of White Supremacist websites - like "NiggaDown.com" and "Niggerrefic.com." In fact, the release of this information has not hampered his continued employment. The week provided fresh options for summer entertainment that fuels racial healing and solidarity. War for the Planet of the Apes opened this week, where militant primates clash with humans again for supremacy. Former NRA president Charleston Heston isn't in this one. Away from the big screen, prize fighters Floyd Mayweather Jr.and Conor McGregor began their world promotional tour for their highly anticipated bout this summer. McGregor allegedly kicked off the festivities with racial insults, calling Mayweather a boy and demanding his black opponent "dance" for him. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943# The C.O.W.S. archives: http://tiny.cc/76f6p

    The C.O.W.S. Gil Scott-Heron THE LAST HOLIDAY Part 6 Jul 14, 2017
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 6th study session on Gil Scott-Heron's autobiography, The Last Holiday. A poet, author, musician and victim of White Supremacy, Scott-Heron died in 2011. He wrote and performed music that directly addressed black lives and how the System of White Supremacy brutalizes black people. Iconic selections like "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" and "The Bottle" encourage many to credit Scott-Heron as being a hip-hop music founder. Last week's session explained Gil's growing success with Brian Jackson and the Midnight Band. He detailed his relationship with Clive Davis and Arista records - which garnered greater media attention for himself and the band. He again stressed the significance of black journalism - describing his tour of Johnson Publishing company and his respect for Gary Byrd's broadcast expertise. Substance abuse continues to have a critical role in Gil's life - he describes seeing black people consume large quantities of cannabis, cocaine, and liquor. We'll contrast this memoir to other biographies we've covered on the book club - Maya Angelou, Assata Shakur, Malcolm X. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#
