The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We'll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS Days after a White gunman killed 26 Whites during a Sunday worship, a different American sniper opened fire in a Northern California town killing six. The gunman reportedly shot a five year old, attempted to enter an elementary school, and killed his own wife before being killed by an enforcement official. Illustrating the normalization of White terrorism, the shooting received little attention. Three black UCLA basketball players accused of stealing sunglasses while visiting China, were the main criminals Californians wanted to focus on. Speaking of black thugs, Attorney General Jeff Sessions was questioned by members of the House of Representatives about a number activities since he joined President Trump's staff at the beginning of this year. Congresswoman Karen Bass used her time to question Sessions about his department's report on "black identity extremists" and their alleged proclivity for violence. Sessions stammered through the exchange and claimed ignorance about the threat posed by "white identity extremists." White sexual predators continue to be put on blast, as U.S. Senator Al Franken and John Travolta have also been accused of sexual misconduct. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the debut study session Kevin Dutton's The Wisdom of Psychopaths: Lessons in Life from Saints, Spies and Serial Killers. A research psychologist at the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford, Dutton's principal research interests are persuasion and social influence, and the psychopathic personality. He is a White man who resides in England. Years ago, Dr. Niyana Rasayon highly recommended that C.O.W.S. listeners study this book for a better understanding of what it means to be classified as White. Dutton's book examines how psychopaths, because of their disregard for people, can be immensely "successful" in getting things done. The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Thursday weekly caucus on neutralizing Workplace Racism. The purpose for this program is to strengthen non-white people's problem-solving ability and refine how black people think, speak, act and control emotions while at work. Any listeners who've figured out the best strategy to minimize disputes with White and/or non-white co-workers, avoid demotions, write-ups, terminations or other violence we experience under Racist work conditions should be first to call in with particulars. We always value and appreciate the observations of "black entrepreneurs;" please, share with us how being "self employed" makes your labor experience better. The past few months have been saturated with discussion of sexual harassment in the workplace. Although White Women have been presented as the default victims of sexual violence, unwanted touching, rape, and molestation in the workplace have been problems for Black females and males for centuries - dating back to the cotton fields. One might be able to use the current environment to address sexual abuse in your workplace. We'll also hear counter-racist suggestions from listeners as well as individual reflections from your own work history. Gus suggests Victims of Racism write down important workplace episodes. Documenting your thoughts and workplace occurrences is more reliable than memory, and the act of documenting can clarify your thinking. C.K. was accused of sexual misconduct with his co-workers. Speaking of redundant, another American sniper, Devin Kelley, opened fire on a Texas church killing 26 people. Kelley's record of abusing women, children, and dogs was well documented and a host of his white acquaintances and friends testified to the killer's long record of White pathology. This week voters passed no legislation on gun control, but LGBT activists celebrated a historic victory for Virginia's Danica Roem, who became the first openly transgender member of the House of Delegates. In yet another illustration of schadenfreude, Whites hooted and celebrated the arrest of LiAngelo Ball, UCLA basketball star and son of Lavar Ball. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the fifth and final study session on Neil Postman's Crazy Talk, Stupid Talk: How We Defeat Ourselves By the Way We Talk and What to Do About It. Postman is a Suspected Racist, who authored a stack of well regarded literature, including: Amusing Ourselves To Death; Teaching as a Subversive Activity; and How to Watch TV News. A prolific writer, Postman penned 18 books, was a professor of media ecology at New York University, and a critic of technology and the use of words. Students of counter-racism recognize the primary weapon of Racists is the incorrect and deceptive use of words. We'll remember this while investigating Crazy Talk, Stupid Talk. Last week's session explored the different varieties of "propaganda" - emphasizing that emotional attempts to persuade most often work best on groups of people as opposed to individuals. Postman's own White Supremacy may have been revealed as he used written commentary on former Black Panther George Jackson as an example of how "intellectuals" or members of the "the Left" tend to minimize the criminal tendencies of so called revolutionaries. In Gus's view, Postman seemed more sympathetic to Adolph Eichmann, an celebrated Nazi who helped Adolf Hitler kill tens of thousand of people. In addition to possible acts of Racism, Postman also encourage readers to be mindful that words can have multiple definitions. He also suggested exploring what agendas helped fashion the words and definitions being used and how the use of these terms affects people. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of John Potash. An addiction counselor and writer, Potash wrote The FBI War on Tupac Shakur and Black Leaders and Drugs As A Weapon Against Us. His works centers largely on how United States' intelligence agencies have orchestrated surveillance, disruption and even violence against black people who've worked against the System of White Supremacy. Potash emphasizes that a consistent strategy is the weaponization of drugs to sabotage activists' ability to think clearly. We'll ask Potash about the recent report indicating the FBI's concern about so called "Black Identity Extremists." The reports stresses the high likelihood of a black person committing violence against police officers in response to police killings of black people. We explore what this means for black citizens and activists in the age of technologically advanced COINTELPRO. A suspect used the day to drive a truck down a pedestrian path in New York City; eight people died in the incident which was immediately branded an act of terrorism to be closely associated with the 2001 9/11 attacks. Barely 24 hours later, a White man, Scott Allen Ostrem, opened fire in Colorado Wal-Mart, but he was not labeled a terrorist. A University of Hartford White female student,Â Brianna Brochu, is accused of orchestrating a weeks long campaign of chemical and biological warfare against her black roommate. She posted on social media that she had shoved her black roommate's toothbrush in her rectum and smeared used tampons on her belongings. Although has been arrested, she has not thought of as a terrorist. U.S. Senator Tim Scott was violently threatened by a Suspected Race Soldier who was angered that the South Carolina lawman verbally disparaged convicted mass killer Dylann Storm Roof. Jason Kenneth Bell has been arrested for threatening to Sen. Scott and is alleged to have also threatened NAACP members and praised the actions of Roof. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the fourth study session on Neil Postman's Crazy Talk, Stupid Talk: How We Defeat Ourselves By the Way We Talk and What to Do About It. Postman is a White Man who authored a heap of noteworthy texts, including: Amusing Ourselves To Death; Teaching as a Subversive Activity; and How to Watch TV News. A prolific writer, Postman penned 18 books, was a professor of media ecology at New York University, and delivered astute analysis of technology and language. Students of counter-racism understand the primary weapon of Racists is the incorrect and deceptive use of words. We'll remember this while exploring Crazy Talk, Stupid Talk. Last week's session began going into specific brands of "crazy" and "stupid." Postman described how vaguely worded objectives and questions can be greatly bolstered by adding specifics. Postman also described how words and even the architecture of buildings can affect how we speak and think. Specifically, Postman explained how doctors's offices and courtrooms are designed to intimidate and coerce compliance from visitors. Postman also explained how language can feed on itself - meaning people often feel pressured to respond to verbal communication. He explains how this can often lead to infinite exchanges of putdowns and recrimination.
