    The C.O.W.S. Compensatory Call-In 09/15/18 Sep 16, 2018
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS This week marked 17 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks at the World Trade Center and Pentagon. After many allegations of deception, billions of dollars invested in military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, officials now claim they're just about out of nickels with regards to compensating First Responders and others who sacrificed their lives on the day of the attacks. Speaking of abandoning U.S. civilians, 12 years after the levee failure and Hurricane Katrina decimated the Gulf region, Hurricane Florence has already drowned North Carolina leaving hundreds of thousands without electricity. Similar to the Katrina fiasco, where Whites called attention to their tremendous efforts to rescue hounds, cats and wildebeests, many Carolina prisoners were left behind as more valuable White lives were evacuated to high, safe ground. #PamTheGreat INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

The C.O.W.S. Black Love Is A Revolutionary Act Part 3 Sep 14, 2018
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts our third study session on Pamela Evans Harris's second publication, BLACK LOVE IS A REVOLUTIONARY ACT. Before her untimely passing this year, #PamTheGreat operated the RacismWS website and authored a number of books that directly confront the problem of White Supremacy and what to do about it. She was one of The C.O.W.S. listeners's most adored guests and appeared on the program dozens of times. Deeply saddened by her passing, we're studying her work to honor her life and to learn constructive information to permanently eradicate Racism. Pam stated unambiguously that the primary reason for this book was to help eradicate the enormous conflict between black males and black females. Last week's session continued to examine how centuries of barbaric slavery has shaped the behavior patterns and relationships of black people. She discussed the concept of racial memories and addressed the debate about reparations for black people. The text also examined the tendency for some black people to feel shame about the enslavement of our ancestors. Pam encourages us not feel shame, but rather to gather strength from black people who found ways to resist the worsts of White Terror. #PamTheGreat INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

The C.O.W.S. Dr. Tommy Curry Part 10: Serena Williams and The Man-Not Sep 13, 2018
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of Dr. Tommy Curry. With research interests in philosophy, jurisprudence, Africana Studies, and gender studies, Dr. Curry is currently an associate professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Texas A&M. We've had the pleasure of discussing Dr. Curry's most recent text, The Man-Not: Race, Class, Genre, and the Dilemmas of Black Manhood. We'll see how the book has been received in its first year of publication. We're especially excited to hear Dr. Curry's thoughts on an edit to Gus's review of The Man-Not. Listeners may not be aware of the fact that Dr. Curry is an avid tennis aficionado, so Gus thought it would be highly informative to hear Dr. Curry's views on the controversial U.S. Open, where Serena Williams lost to Japan's Naomi Osaka in the championship match. During the contest, Williams engaged in a heated verbal exchange with a White a male official who punished her repeatedly during the match for alleged rules violations. The historic match has ignited accusations of Racism, Sexism and/or just another illustration of what some view as Williams' poor sportsmanship. #TheManNot INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

Suspected racists hooted and balked at the potential Supreme Court Justice and spent the rest of the week guessing which cabinet member penned an anonymous letter to the New York Times which railed against the President Trump. After all the ballyhoo, Gus still predicts Whites will keep Mr. Trump in the White house beyond 2020. Speaking of shams, Nike - world renown for sweatshops and watching black children slaughter each other in silence for sneakers, selected former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick as their apparel pitchman. Kaepernick has not played a professional game since 2016 and has a current lawsuit against Whites in the NFL charging that they colluded to keep him from being employed. and In Chicago, a White officer began his trial for the killing of Laquan McDonald in 2015. #PamTheGreat INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

The Context of White Supremacy hosts our 2nd study session on Pamela Evans Harris's second publication, BLACK LOVE IS A REVOLUTIONARY ACT. Before her passing earlier this year, #PamTheGreat managed the RacismWS website and authored an array of books that directly confront the problem of White Supremacy and what to do about it. She was one of The C.O.W.S. listeners's most cherished guests and appeared on the program dozens of times.Saddened by her departure, we're reading her work to honor her life and to learn constructive information to permanently eradicate Racism. Pam stated explicitly that the primary purpose behind this book was to help eradicate the enormous conflict between black males and black females. The first portion of the book spends a great deal of time examining the history of slavery, and how many of the conflicts between black males and black females are rooted in centuries of direct torture. They include anecdotes from Incidents In The Life of Slave Girl and other historical records to provide a comprehensive understanding of the generational trauma black people have been subjected to.

    The C.O.W.S. Neutralizing Workplace Racism 09/06/18 Sep 06, 2018
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Thursday weekly forum on neutralizing Workplace Racism. This broadcast is specifically designed to improve non-white people's problem-solving skills and refine how black people think, speak, act and control emotions while at work. Any listeners who've pieced together a code to eliminate conflicts with White and/or non-white co-workers, side-step demotions, write-ups, terminations or other forms of violence we experience under Racist work conditions should be first to dial in with specifics. We always grateful for the opportunity to learn about the experiences of "black entrepreneurs." Please, share with us how being "self employed" improves your labor experience. A recent NPR report confirmed Gus's recommendation that non-white people assume they are under surveillance while on the job. In addition to requisition training opportunities in writing, Gus also suggests that Victims of Racism makes notes about significant workplace events. Documenting your thoughts and workplace occurrences is more reliable than memory, and the act of writing can organize your thinking. We'll also ask that non-white listeners share crucial portions of the policy and procedure from your current place of employment. #PamTheGreat INVEST in The COWS – http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

The C.O.W.S. w/ Jasmine Iona Brown: Black Art Meets White Supremacy in Seattle Sep 03, 2018
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Jasmine Iona Brown. Ms. Brown is a Seattle, Washington artist and mother of a black son. She recently had images of her teenage son, Jaymin, reading a book while wearing a hoodie - and homage to Trayvon Martin, who was killed in 2012, posted all throughout the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. Not long after, her portraits were mutilated, in one instance, her son's image was totally defaced as if her has been devoured leaving only his sneakers. Ms. Brown's artwork was replaced, only to be vandalized again. Tyrone Baason wrote about this incident for the Seattle Times, noting: "It’s unclear who’s behind the vandalism. But if this is how people respond to harmless pictures of her son, Brown wonders, how does that bode for Jaymin himself?" We'll ask Ms. Brown how this incident has changed her understanding of White Supremacy. Incidentally, Gus is very familiar with this area of Seattle, as he's been a Capitol Hill resident for nearly a full calendar year in response to the great flood of 2017.
