St. Louis Public Radio aired a segment on the impact of workplace racism on black people. They specifically focused on black workers in the health care industry. The Context of White Supremacy hosts our fifth study session on Harriet A. Washington's A Terrible Thing to Waste: Environmental Racism and Its Assault on the American Mind. Washington is a science writer, editor and ethicist who's held prestigious positions at the most elite academies across the globe. Her debut work, Medical Apartheid: The Dark History of Medical Experimentation on Black Americans from Colonial Times to the Present, is one of Gus's all time favorites and is widely hailed as a depressing and immaculate historical record of White medical terrorism against black people. A Terrible Thing to Waste explores the impact of environmental Racism - the deliberate poisoning of areas that will disproportionately and adversely impact non-white people. Many of the toxic impacts of this pollution are unknown to the victims and can have lifelong debilitating impacts on quality of life and brain functioning. During last week's session, Washington continues to stockpile silos of evidence that Whites often knowingly place black people in areas that are bulging with toxins and harmful chemicals. She continues to emphasize how these poisons impact children - whose bodies and brains are still developing. Toxins like lead can have a substantially more harmful impact if the child is exposed during key developmental periods. In some instances, like Fort Myers, Florida, Whites dumped industrial waste and arsenic in area where large numbers of black people would be encouraged to live. There was not so much as a cardboard sign erected to suggest the dangerous hazards of the area. Washington has consistently stressed that this is not a problem of poverty because poor Whites are not poisoned in the same manner as black people. The C.O.W.S. Martin Dandridge: Georgia's Corrupt Prison System Feb 03, 2020

The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Martin Dandridge. With a decade of experience working for the Georgia Department of Corrections, Mr. Dandridge examines the corrupt prison system that is working as it should in a System of Racism. We'll discuss his book, Georgia's Corrupt Prison System: As Told By An Insider. Dandridge describes how the caging of black people serves as welfare for White towns, and the prevalence of anti-sex and rape among inmates. Mr. Dandridge does mention Mr. Neely Fuller's Jr's work in the text; however, his text still invokes terms like "racial bias" and suggests that there are black "leaders." The Context of White Supremacy returns to our traditional counter-racist broadcast for Super Bowl 54. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will give each other brain damage and bludgeon each other for several hours to entertain Whites and a large number of non-white people. We'll scrutinize the commercials and outlandish festivities associated with the ball game. We'll also revisit one of Dr. Frances Cress Welsing's Super Bowl visits to The C.O.W.S. One year before she passed, Dr. Welsing visited us to discuss the importance of striving for something greater (JUSTICE) than Whites' ball games. Gus found it significant that the big game was broadcast on Rupert Murdoch's FOX network. President Donald J. Trump and Republican candidate Michael Bloomberg paid millions for political advertisements during the ball game. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS Many around the globe have been staggered by the stunning death of basketball legend Kobe Bean Bryant who died with his teenage daughter Gianna in a helicopter crash this past Sunday. 7 others perished in the crash, which is still under investigation. In the wake of the tragedy, many have used Bryant's death to remind fans of allegations that the basketball icon raped a White Woman in 2003. #BlackMisandry Bryant's surprising death detracted attention from this week's other ball game, the NFL Super Bowl - which is being hosted in Miami, Florida. A Terrible Thing to Waste explores the impact of environmental Racism - the deliberate pollution of areas that will disproportionately and adversely impact non-white people. Many of the toxic impacts of this pollution are unknown to the victims and can have lifelong debilitating impacts on quality of life and brain functioning. During last week's session, Washington detailed the behavioral impact of certain toxins that are disproportionately stockpiled in areas where black people reside. Washington placed particular attention on the way that black parents are frequently blamed for the harmful side-effects of environmental racism. Governor Coonman Northam declared a state of emergency in the commonwealth. In Pennsylvania, Delbert Africa was released from greater confinement. He's been detained for the past 42 years for the alleged killing of an enforcement official.
