Stay ConnectedThe Bridgerton Bros is a podcast from comedian Kevin McCaffrey and writer Jon Daly, best friends who bring you the funniest, fanciest, drunkest show about the most watched Netflix show of all-time.
Kevin & Jon also do the Sex and the City podcast, “Sex and the Cidiots.”
Happy Valentine's Day, lovers! We decided to do a classic romcom that *one* of us had never seen, and drop it as a romantic, holiday bonus. So here we are, with a movie that doesn't work on paper, but big time works on the screen: a star-making turn by Julia Roberts who has "it" more than just about anyone has ever had, Richard Gere somehow making us like a 41 year old billionaire, Hector Elizondo being an all-time hotel daddy, Jason Alexander portraying the most punchable man of all time, Laura San Giacomo as a really fun bestie and PATRICK RICHWOOD as a scene stealing elevator man. Oh, and Garry Marshall with one of the most impossible directing assignments of all time, done perfectly.
Folks? After 5 years, this is our longest single podcast episode of all time. We hope you enjoy it, and we love you for everything you've done for us. Happy Valentine's Day.

Do you Bridgerbuddies have some extra traveling this Thanksgiving season? Some extra time in the car, on a plane, or just drowning out your relatives? Well, we've got a sort of on theme bonus podcast for you, bringing it over from the Patreon to the main feed. (Plot summary starts at 9:04 time stamp)
We hop back into the Regency Era for the 2005 Jane Austen adaptation of "Pride and Prejudice" starring Keira Knightley. Elizabeth Bennett has to solve a few mysteries before she catches feelings for Mr. Darcy, but our "plain" heroine does just that, while also trying to play wingwoman for her sister Jane. We've got a potato-eating pervert, Mr. Bing Bong, drunk children, a dink with a ponytail, and a nice dad along for this classic ride, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

In the Queen Charlotte finale, we all have to slide under the bed for a little safety. In future Bridgerton times, the Queen's kids finally clap back at the good Queen/bad mom, while still trying to find her another heir, and a little hat gives away an old secret between Danbury and Violet in future Bridgerton times. In young Queen times, she has her first child, and gets to work on another. In both timelines, she ultimately fights through everyone and everything to find her King. We admit it: the end made us emo.
Thanks for joining us on our boozy sprint through Queen Charlotte, and we can't wait to be back for Bridgerton Season 3! Until then, we keep it going over on Patreon.com/kevinandjon.

It's time for some vegetation-based sexual metaphors! We get a forbidden love story for young Lady Danbury, a hint at a future love story (or lust story) for the extremely worked up Violet Bridgerton, and Queen Charlotte thinks about bolting for Germany. Ultimately, she decides to stay, and fight, and try to save our George. Also there's a wedding for people you absolutely do not care about, Eyebrows and Timothy SHAMalet.
Rate and review us, and we'll put in a good word for ya with the newly horned up Mrs. Bridgerton!

In an episode that is a significant amount of scenes we've literally seen before, we rewind and get the King George perspective of things to this point. We see him get the news of his wife to be, his ensuing episode, and his last ditch effort to try to "fix" himself, which leads him into the hands of a power hungry, abusive doctor. The good news is: he saved a cute lil' doggie.
Rate and review us, and we won't dunk ya in the ice bath!

The Queen and King are still beefin', but that doesn't mean they can't put some good old-fashioned hate sex on a regular, every-other-day schedule. We get the OG Danbury Ball, a look at Bridgermom (Violet Ledger) as a child, with her racist mom and enabling (but better) dad, a death that we've actually been rooting for, and a big weird night for Farmer George…that ends with a pretty nice depiction of real love.
Rate and review and you'll be SO invited to our ball.

The Queen goes from bored to pissed as she chases down her king, and asks the very important question: why no bone zone? Ultimately they locate that very important location (with no witnesses, which is apparently an innovation?), and said bone zone is a place their assistants have been enjoying together for a WHILE, apparently. Queen Danbury is a big highlight in this one, with a great showdown with the Queen Mother, and stepping up into the role as Charlotte's bestie. Things aren't all rosy though, as we end things with an unfortunate mother/son fight, an unfortunate door left open, and an unfortunate panic attack.
And if it wasn't too much trouble, a rating and a review would simply charm us.

In the first episode of the Queen Charlotte series, the pre-Queen Charlotte finds her way from Germany to England…and she has no idea why she's been chosen. She also has no idea what the King's deal is, or what he looks like. There's a problematic Queen Mother with an ALL TIMER of a problematic question (shout out to Lizzie for the inspiration), an introduction of our girl Danbury, and a baker's dozen of loser kids giving our present-day Queen Charlotte some trouble.
Welcome back, Bridgerbuddies! If you wouldn't mind, we would simply ADORE a rating and a review if you have a moment. Let's binge this thing!

May 4th, we will return to binge Queen Charlotte's new series with you. But for now? We go DEEP on the new extended trailer, and catch you up with what we know so far. THEN (starting at 25:08), we tell you all about the book "Inside Bridgerton," from Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. Behind the scenes photos, stories, the answers to some controversial topics — it's fun! And it proves: we CAN actually read. Suck on that, haters!
