EP 157: Brain Death & Organ Donation… When is a person really dead? with Heidi Klessig, MD Oct 23, 2024

Show notes

Organ donation is always a universal good... right? This conversation is the type that has the potential to completely challenge previously held beliefs. Are brain-dead patients TRULY brain dead? Are the organs being harvested from someone who REALLY has no life left in them? Heidi Klessig, MD, tells us her own story and how she came to have her own beliefs challenged, and explains why she is now dedicated to the informed consent of all registered organ donors, those considering donating their organs, their families, and the recipients of transplanted organs. The question we all really need to ask is... When is somebody truly dead?

EP 156: Just The Inserts - no longer anonymous Oct 16, 2024

Show notes

Just The Inserts isn’t anonymous anymore… today we’re introducing Alexandra to you, and you’re getting to see her face for the first time.

This is our second interview with her (first episode linked below). In this interview we go even deeper than the first time, discussing the RSV shot the CVD/flu shot mash-up, mRNA products, and a hard look at the Vitamin K product that babies get on their first day of life.

As always in conversation with Alexandra, informed consent is paramount. We speak to the value of people being provided with all the information they need in order to make an informed decision, and discuss the need for that decision to be respected regardless of what that decision ends up being.

Order sets/standing orders are discussed in detail, the impact of 2020 on the medical community at large, and the relationship between authority and responsibility is fully dissected.

We end talking a bit more about her new book, Well Considered, a wonderful informed consent resource.

This is a CAN’T MISS episode that you’ll want to be sure to share.

EP 153: Coffee Shop Talk: homeschool, echo chambers, AI & praying more than raging Sep 25, 2024

Show notes

In this episode, Cecily and Rita sit down to chat about entering new seasons, the start of the homeschool year, and the true and unique blessing of parenting in this cultural moment.

We discuss the importance of protecting which memories you hold onto (hopefully they're yours!), the importance of getting OUT of the echo chamber, equipping people with information and then allowing the freedom and grace for them to make their own choice, and of course, we get in some talk on AI.

In this episode we also talk about our desire that more people would be praying than raging and dissect the distinct linguistic differences between "gal" and "chick" and determine the correct usage for each term. That last bit is serious stuff.

EP 152: Should I Vote? Red Pilled, Black Pilled & Elections in the Midst of Corruption with Leah Wilson of Stand for Health Freedom Sep 18, 2024

Show notes

There's a growing movement within the Health Freedom community to stop participating in elections. Leah Wilson's daily work with Stand for Health Freedom daily allows her to powerfully articulate on the topic. She sees the results of voting/voter involvement in a way others who are casually involved may not.

We'll discuss:

The power of involvement in local elections but also, do national elections still matter?

Common repeated statements surrounding voting... they're catchy, but are they true?

...It’s all theater, It’s a selection not an election, We don’t participate in the government of this world...we belong to the kingdom of heaven, I put faith in God not in man, Two wings same bird, The candidates are ALL awful, My vote doesn’t count, it’s not worth it anymore (either because of corruption/solidly red or blue state), It “feels” empowering

We talk through a few stats from the 2020 election & poll I took on Instagram

We touch on the Jones Plantation movie and the idea of sovereign citizens.

EP 150: Why do Christians believe, say and think that? Q&A with Mark Clark Sep 04, 2024

Show notes

This conversation is all about answering your questions about the Christian faith, Christians, and the church!

Bringing his unique perspective as a Canadian who re-located to the USA in 2021, Mark Clark takes the questions you submitted. Starting off with a comparison of culture (both church culture and the broader culture) in the USA and Canada, we then jump into your questions.

Questions like these (and many more!):

Why do Christians believe once saved always saved? How can the church be trusted post covid lockdowns? What’s the scoop with the One World Church in Dubai? What about home churches? What’s the deal with different ways of handling baptism? And spiciest of all… someone wanted to know how Christians can vote Democrat. Buckle up. We’re going there.

EP 149: Food Supply # 5 | It's complicated: will ESG investments control food, is oil renewable, worldview & more on Bill Gates Jun 26, 2024

Show notes

Investors with trillions of dollars and nothing to do with farming could end up controlling how food is produced start, to finish. More Bill Gates shenanigans... the guy will develop a vaccine for absolutely everything. Is oil actually a finite resource? Everything we have currently was developed from resources we've always had... think about it and more from White Oak Pastures.

This final episode of our 5 part series on Food Supply solidifies the complexity of the topic as we hash out our thoughts with you.

EP 148: Food Supply # 4 | What's in your Milk? Hormones, Homogenization, Government Production Quotas & Knowing your Farmer Jun 19, 2024

Show notes

Today we talk to the owners of 2 dairy farms - a raw milk micro dairy in Tennessee & an organic dairy farmer and cheese processor in BC, Canada. We invited a conventional dairy farmer to add perspective, but they declined. There’s a lot of buzz on the internet about raw milk but that’s not the whole story. We explain pasteurization, homogenization, nutritional value, how cows are fed & we discuss hormone use. In this series, we’re taking you deep into the complicated world of your food supply. Whether it’s a steak, salad or slice of bread… there’s a lot happening in the process of getting what you eat to your table and you should know about it. Who owns the farmland? Who is growing your food? Do we have a secure food supply, is our food safe and are we stewarding the land and animals well in the process? In this 5-part series we’re pulling back the curtain and answering those questions.
