EP 176: Modern Health, Timeless Practices & how wellness personalities gate-keep lifesaving info Mar 26, 2025

Show notes

In today’s episode, Rita was able to sit down in person with a friend. Jessica Alford, an Integrative Nurse Practitioner, covers everything from the “gate-keeping” of information within the wellness community to Ozempic, the pro-metabolic movement, Ray Peat, psychiatric med use, and Bryan Johnson’s goal to live forever.

We once again find ourselves questioning things from a philosophical standpoint.

What a human is?

What were our bodies made to do?

Who made them?

Don’t miss this conversation!

EP 172: To whom does a child belong? Parents or bureaucrats? with Will Estrada of HSLDA Feb 26, 2025

Show notes

Regardless of whether you homeschool, this episode is foundational.

Will Estrada, Senior Legal Council with HSLDA {Homeschool Legal Defense}, walks us through the answers to some really fundamental questions:

What came first, family or the government?

Where do parental rights come from?

To whom do children belong?

Today’s conversation around homeschooling really opened up a discussion about the governments role in decision-making within our families and for our children.

EP 171: Can you defend your faith? Worldview and knowing what you believe and why with Shanda Fulbright Feb 19, 2025

Show notes

It only takes one conversation with Shanda to know that she not only talks the talk but walks the walk.

Shanda Fulbright, of Her Faith Inspires, recognizes that the amount of time we have to help form our children’s worldview is limited.

Through her website, podcast, and courses, Shanda is giving us the resources to set a solid biblical foundation for ourselves and our children.

Shanda takes cultural issues and applies them to biblical truth.

In today’s culture, it’s never been more important to feel confident in what we believe and why we believe it.

EP 169: New Age, Psychedelics & Salvation with Ashley Lande Feb 05, 2025

Show notes

Are psychedelics the cure for PTSD & key to mental health? Did you know that there are more people using psychedelics now than in the 60’s? If you weren’t aware, this is a major cultural trend. Joe Rogan, RFK Jr., and Shawn Ryan are all promoting their use.

Psychedelics have quietly entered the chat and today’s conversation, like so many, will encourage you to give thought to the potential dangers of something that’s being sold to us as another possible ‘cure.’

Listen as Ashley Lande, author of The Thing That Would Make Everything Okay Forever, shares her history with psychedelics and how her use of them actually ended up drawing her to Christ.
