The Bob and Zip show returns after Bob’s medical leave.

Bob doesn’t want to talk about the Cancer, the treatments, or the surgery. But Zip and Spike insist.

Conclusion. Health Care workers are saints and angels. They deserve our love even when there isn’t a pandemic.

On our last show, Spike poured his hert out about how he needed to be back on the radio. We are happy to devote a ton of our gratitude to KIRO FM Radio as he is now a very busy fill in host.

Tom Cruise is back, in case you were thinking about going to a movie theater. Bob saw Top Gun today, and reports that it’s a blockbuster.

How important is sound? Bobs son Keith actually paid to upgrade his Electric Vehicle to have pretend engine noises.

Bob and Zip are recovering from the worst cold and flu of their lives, but it’s not Covid. Makes us miss the masks a little.

What exactly is the scientific meaning of “Not Full Blown?” Not the slang meaning.

Is taking a crap on someone’s pillow really worthy of being a news story? Spike eats it up. Maybe that’s a poor choice of words.

Bob says Elon Musk is doing more to save the world from Global Warming than any living human being, but all anyone cares about is “He might let Trump back on Twitter!”

We try to solve the world’s problems, including divisiveness, war, and what an eggplant emoticon really means. Zip is never divisive, he is the guru of that.

We end the show on a serious note. News I’d rather not share, discuss on social media- but all can feel free to share with friends & friends of The Bob Rivers Show.

Zip starts the show by wishing everyone a Happy Easter, and shares that he went to church today!

Thanks to the Bob and Zip Show listeners, Spike O’Neill has a real job opportunity brewing. It involves helping care for folks suffering from mental illness.

Almost by accident, we realize that each one of us has been there at one point in our lives.

One of us was actually in a Psychiatric Ward for a week. Before you listen, go ahead and guess who. No peeking!

Ed Kelly is feeling guilty because he, a pescatarian, ate ham on Easter.

What do you think of the idea of restricting Social Media access to those over 18? Bob endorses this idea (mostly because he knows no one will agree with him).

We segue into free speech, which Spike thinks shouldn’t apply to Republicans. A lively debate ensues, and Bob actually believes a certain former President should not have been banned from Twitter.

Bob is on a family vacation and Granddaughters Georgia and Hazel make a surprise appearance after the song at the end.

We declare the show a “No Will Smith Zone”.

Spike shares some deeply personal stuff, and the whole gang rallies around him as he has us in stitches with his candor.

As we approach the end of the show, we play the same silly song we ended last week’s Podcast with, “The Puppy Song” by Nillson.

Bob and Spike have both been in the house where that Nillson album was written. It was also the home of a very famous radio personality.

We make a vow to save talking about Will Smith and Chris Rock until Andrew joins us near the end of the show. But like Will Smith, we lose control completely.

A little self mockery ensues, as we whine about how tough it is these days to be white.

Bob apologizes for last week’s absence, as he’s having a crazy big Maple Syrup season in Vermont.

Bob tries to introduce a new topic to the show: The need for more “Love and Empathy” in our civil discourse. This bores everyone very quickly, so we continue speculating about Will Smith and Chris Rock.

Spike has some strong opinions on how the war in Ukraine should end, and Zip agrees. Bob feels that a negotiated settlement behind the scenes may be what is happening, but he’s all alone on this one.

Andrew Rivers pops in, with a comedian’s point of view on assaulting comics on stage. He’s opposed.

We close with a mystery tune. No cheating and using a phone app.
