The State of the USMNT: Time for Gregg To Go? Plus, Miazga's Mess Dec 01, 2023

Show notes

We're back and we're breaking down the state of the USMNT after the Nations League quaterfinals. Jason has some strong opinions on the head coach of the USMNT (is he going full #BerhalterOut?) and the boys dig into what Jesse Marsch had to say about the Golden Generation of the USMNT with Copa America coming next summer.

Then Jason and Jared give the take only they can on Matt Miazga storming the referee's locker room at Red Bull Arena and the three-game suspension handed down by MLS. Matt was just asking question about the count of yellow cards from the game....right?

USMNT v. Trinidad & Tobago Postgame Nov 17, 2023

Show notes

Jason and Jared went live on Thursday, November 16 to break down the 3-0 USMNT win over Trinidad & Tobago in the first leg of the Nations League quarterfinal in Austin.

An extremely frustrating performance for 80 minutes ended up with an okay scoreline in the end. Should we feel good about how the US played against a CONCACAF team that bunkered? What did Gregg Berhalter get right? What did he get wrong?

Americans In Trouble In Europe, USMNT 2014 v. 2022, MLS Playoffs, BECKHAM Oct 27, 2023

Show notes

Jason and Jared catch up on the Champions League results with special focus on the fortunes of the Americans in the competition. Can AC Milan still get through? Is PSV still alive?

Then the boys hit on the MLS Cup playoffs and how much Jared loves the new format (HA!).

Jozy Altidore said the 2014 generation of the USMNT could beat the 2022 generation. Is he right? Who are you taking? Dempsey & Donovan or Pulisic & Weah?

Finally, the dynamic duo get into their thoughts on the David Beckham documentary currently on Netflix. What the hell is that grill Beckham has in that weird hut anyway?

USMNT v. Germany Preview, MLS Update, Nicky's BACK Oct 13, 2023

Show notes

The big news this week is that Nicky Soup & Sambuca is back on the show, just in time to celebrate FC Cincinnati's first trophy. But there's also a USMNT game, so the boys get into the roster and what we want to see lined up against Germany in East Hartford.

There's some more MLS talk (Galaxy are trash) and the crew debates the quality of Kirkland Signature products.

Did MLS Break Lionel Messi? Plus Kroenke v. FIFA Sep 22, 2023

Show notes

Jason and Jared are back to give their unique takes on the world of American soccer. First, the boys talk about Lionel Messi's injury situation and how it might effect Inter Miami's push for a playoff spot.

Then it's time to pick a side in Kroenke v. FIFA, with the Kroenke family unhappy with the concessions FIFA demands for games to be played at SoFi Stadium in 2026. Could there be a World Cup without games in Los Angeles?

NO GIO: Berhalter Calls Up USMNT Roster Sep 01, 2023

Show notes

Jason and Jared are here again to give you the best, most entertaining coverage of American soccer you'll find anywhere on Planet Earth. This week is—no surprise—all about Gregg Berhalter's relationship with Gio Reyna, with plenty on the rest of the USMNT roster called in for games against *cough* Uzbekistand and Oman.

The boys also note the retirement of Julie Ertz and talk about Lionel Messi finally getting shut out with Inter Miami.
